Superintendent – Steel Mill

Responsible for second shift mill operation. This includes production of press line, ensuring safe packaging of steel bundles to satisfy customer requirements, shipping of completed steel, completing bill of ladings, and dealing with personel issues of union employees. Had 10 direct reports.

General Motors Corporation

NAO Lordstown Assembly Plant, Lordstown, Ohio July 2008 – April 2015

General Supervisor – Quality Department

Responsibilities included the supervision of 140 direct reports, four supervisors, one supplier engineer and the rest union employees. Successfully passed ISO 140001, 9001-2008 and 16949. Used PPAP to verify new parts prior to releasing parts for acceptance. Dealt with personnel issues including grievances, vacation planning, appropriate staffing levels, pay discrepancies, etc. Dealt with supplier and plant quality issues by setting up reworks, containments and communicating to appropriate parties.

Supervisor/Weld Quality Engineer – Body Shop Inspection

Responsible for implementation of weld verification using NDT, visual and destructive, weld testing. Used calipers, micrometers and flexible magnifiers to verify welds. Responsibilities also included the paint, fit and finish of vehicle and 20 direct reports.

Cruze Project Coordinator – Inspection Department

Launch coordinator for the Chevy Cruze vehicle. Successfully completed and trained all Inspection Department operation write ups, weld and torque verification routes.

Supervisor – Stamping

Responsible for surface quality, production, storage of stamped parts for Chevy Cruze. Used first piece inspection to verify stamped metal after die changes, or any other die issues. Had 20 direct reports that were my responsibility.

Supervisor -Body Shop

Responsible for setting up third shift Body Shop final process line. Included all exterior metal for fit and finish. Had 30 direct reports.

NAO Janesville Assembly Plant, Janesville, Wisconsin September 2006 – June 2008

Supervisor – Customer Acceptance Requirements and Evaluation (CARE)

Responsibilities include conforming to all GM shipping standards for the GMT 900

series, Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. Trained team members on the new BPD process to further enhance SPQRCE. Also responsible for DVT, (Dynamic Vehicle Testing). This involved plugging the DVT machine into vehicle and verifying electrical and computer connections. Had 25 direct reports.

NAO Doraville Plant, Doraville, Georgia September 1995 –August 2006

Supervisor – Global Customer Audit

Responsibilities include communication with Plant on Global Customer Audit (GCA) related quality issues, training and supervising auditors, GCAS database maintenance, Squeak and Rattle analysis and other duties assigned to GCA Supervisor.

Customer Satisfaction Manager

Responsible for analysis of all JD Power, Warranty, and any other quality data related

to the GM family of minivans. Supervise GCA readiness for Pilots and build valves. Responsible for institution and training of GCAS system in Doraville. Set up, maintain all quality glide paths for the Doraville Assembly Plant.

Process Control Manager

Responsible for solving common cause quality problems related to the build of the U van in the General Assembly Area. Red X, Shainin, fish bone and other problem solving training completed.

Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities included working with suppliers on quality, shipping and production related problems. Issued CARs, (Corrective Action Reports) and CRs, (Cost Recoveries) for discrepant parts to our suppliers.

NAO Tarrytown Plant, N. Tarrytown, NY March 1985 – August 1995

Supervisor- CARE

Responsible for supervising hourly employees on the proper inspection techniques to insure all product specifications and quality standards are attained. Contact other departments of ongoing quality and build problems affecting vehicle.

Supplier Quality/Weld Engineer

Responsible for initiating controls for first generation U-Van, GM family of minivans in MVSS welding and adhesive integrity: Trained hourly employees on proper inspection procedure. Implemented weld verification using NDT, visual and destructive, weld testing. Used calipers, micrometers and flexible magnifiers to verify welds. Investigated all quality and build issues and notified suppliers and other departments.

Tooling Engineer- Body Shop

Responsible for dimensional integrity of vehicle, supervised 10 tool makers, and maintaining machinery in good working order.
