The Annenberg Foundation– 09/08 to 05/17 Digital Media & VR Manager/ Project Manager This role involved the management of several major initiatives to design and implement digital asset management at the Foundation. The main goals have been the permanent archiving of media as well as making all assets available for collaborative projects. The creative review module of the Open Text Media Manager system has been a major success in the Communication and Marketing departments.
As the lead project manager for the migration of 300,000 assets from a legacy Artesia system into the latest Open Text Media Manager version 10.5, the metadata transforms for moving assets and metadata from the older system into OTMM were developed. The role performed and supervised the migration of all assets and metadata into OTMM. Agile development processes were utilized to complete the project on time and within budget. Atlassian Jira and Confluence were used to manage project deliverables and create a knowledge base for future upgrades and customizations.
The migration and software upgrade projects were all accomplished using Agile methodologies. A team of six developers were managed. Daily SCRUM meetings were held to keep all aspects of the project moving forward. A weekly report on progress, next steps, product features, and any blockers was held for the team and executive management. Over the last eight years the design of taxonomies, XML schemas, and distribution pipelines for the system have been implemented. The position is responsible for training all employees and drafting all communications internally for the uses of the system. Several distribution pipelines for Netflix, Hulu, and broadcast TV channels were developed and rolled out across the organization.
Video assets are formatted and color corrected for different TV broadcast and internet distribution channels. The role also functions as the central traffic manager for all Foundation content. In this capacity a central point of contact has been established for domestic and international partners.

A year long discovery, functional spec definition, use case documentation, design and implementation plan was executed.
