EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
July 2016 to present I am a customer service parlor attendant at “Lacey's Place” in
Monee, Illinois. I am still working there; but it is part time and I
need full time preferably salary with benefit's. I will continue to
work there until I find the job I want to work permanently..
Dec 2014 to July 2015 I worked as a Sales Associate at Exxon Mobile Gas Station. This position was part time and I was still seeking a full time position. Since it was part time I was not eligible for benefit's. I left the gas station to look for a better job in July and benefit's.
July – Nov. 2014 I am a “Shift Manager” at Speedway Gas Station which is full time;
but the pay is low. The benefit's do not kick in until after 60 days.
I am a “Cashier”sometimes, I do inventory, make order's, keep up with the food and beverage items, do reports, supervise employee's etc.
I am seeking a full time position with benefit's and higher pay based on my 18 years experience in the Hospitality Industry.
March – April, 2014 I took a part time job at a Casino as a “Hostess/Cashier”. The
pay was low; no benefits and no room for advancement.
I left in April for those reasons seeking full time employment with benefits.
October – Dec. 2013 I took a “seasonal holiday” part time job in the Retail Industry as a
Cashier. When the season ended so did the job.
Feb. 2011 - April 2011 I worked for Homewood Hotel as Sales/Catering/Marketing Manager. The position was eliminated due to financial problems.
March-May 2008 I worked at the Schererville Auto Center. My title was
Office Manager. I handled all managerial duties just
like I did at the Banquet Hall that I worked at for 13
years. They needed to cut costs so my position was eliminated.
Sept.2007-Nov.2007 I worked at Circle Pontiac GMC selling both new and used
cars. They hired me without any car sales experience
based on my sales experience in the Banquet/Hotel Food
Industry.
During the short period of time that I worked there; I sold many vehicles and they also sent me out to bring in Fleet Line customer's because of my sales experience in the
Banquet /Hotel Industry. I was successful in getting Fleet
Line customer's and close on deals.
However, during the month of November business had died down and they began to start laying salespersons off to cut expenses during the winter months. Now that all of the Holidays are over with; I continued actively seeking other employment; preferably Full Time rather than part time; but I am open to all options right now.
Feb.2005-Sept. 2006 I worked at the American Printing Company as a Sales Representative. Due to the past decline in the Hotel and the catering business and unavailability of open positions in
that field, I was unable to find suitable employment.
Rather than remain idle, I accepted a job with this company as a
Sales Representative.
My past job duties were to do outside sales calls to bring in new business. This position accorded me with continuous experience in sales in an industry with which I was not familiar. However; it also expanded my knowledge of that industry and it also afforded me the
opportunity to practice my sales techniques on many varied
businesses regardless of where I may be employed in the future.
July 2003-Mar. 2004 My position was Catering/Sales Manager at the Holiday Inn Select Hotel and Convention Center. I performed both inside and outside sales. My market segment was SMERF.
My office duties were to type up my contracts, accept deposits and final payments; type up the banquet event orders; give tours of the facility and then to perform my
inside and outside sales requirements. I fulfilled all of
my job duties in a very professional and timely manner.
March, 2003 I was working as a TSR. for Americall Corporation. I wanted to work until I found a job that was appropriate for me.
June 2001- Feb.2002 I had been working at the Holiday Inn in Matteson, Illinois. My position was Sales/Catering Manager. I performed inside and outside solicitation calls to
bring new business for the success of the Holiday Inn.
I also handled the catering side for booking events.
I strive to meet the Hotel’s goals and expectations of me.
My reason for seeking other employment is for a higher salary position. I left this position the end of February, 2002.
Jan 2001/May 2001 I worked at the Radisson Hotel in Alsip, Illinois. I held the position of Catering/Sales Manager. My job specialty was in Corporate bookings. I performed inside and outside solicitation calls to bring in new business for the success of the Radisson Hotel. I was committed to my job and the achievement of our companies goals and expectations. I departed in May of 2001 due to a high
turnover in my department.
Aug 1986-Dec.1999 (St. Archangel Michael Social & Cultural Center)
Banquet facility which can seat from 50 to 1000 persons.
I Worked as Administrative Assistant to the General Manager and prior to my departure was promoted to the General Managers position.
My job responsibilities included the following: Booking Events; Advertisements; interviewing, hiring and training of the staff; placing Liquor, linen and food orders; bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable; Payroll; direct contact with vendors; organization of events; scheduling of employees, etc.
March, 1986 (Katz, Karacic and Helmin Law Firm)
I worked as a receptionist for a couple of months prior to me getting
hired at the St. Archangel Michael Social Center Banquet Facility.
