Work Experience
Retired Instructor of Mathematics at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) Chandler, Arizona. Most recently having taught three levels of calculus in hybrid format, business calculus online, a certification course for faculty entitled Teaching and Learning in the Community College and team-taught face-to-face second semester calculus.

Chair of Science and Mathematics Division then Mathematics Division 1998-2006 wherein tasks were to schedule classes, programs, and instructors; supervise up to 140 faculty and support staff; manage budget, resolve conflicts, and participate in campus strategic planning.
Levels of instruction have ranged from arithmetic to differential equations. Organized and implemented faculty and staff development including technology training. Helped formulate the establishment of CGCC’s first Emerging Science and Mathematics Scholars Awards Program, 2001, and Excellence in Mathematics Contest, 2001. Committee responsibilities have included: international-intercultural education, campus sustainability, faculty development, faculty professional growth, instructional computing committee, student learning and outcomes assessment, service learning steering committee, faculty association president-elect, Williams Campus planning committee, math instructional council, electronic forum steering committee, co-advisor to Christian fellowship, Future Teachers of America, and Phi Theta Kappa honorary fraternity, the Honors program, and chair of the campus holiday party. Evaluated math software for the district.
Field Test Coordinator, 1997, and internship, 1995-1996, with the Maricopa Mathematics Consortium assisting with development and testing of active learning modules, and grant writing.
Additional Experience
Hundreds of hours volunteering with Si Se Puede over a nine-year period beginning with leading students to do “Math Day” interactions with middle school students and culminating in leading students to teach and tutor calculus, organize competitions, and serve their community by igniting young minds to love and enjoy mathematics
Community involvement in charity drives and animal rescue.
Taught courses at Ottawa University in linear algebra, numerical optimization, abstract algebra, calculus, mathematical modeling, and math for teachers
Taught various levels of algebra for Mesa Community College, Rio Salado Community College, and Phoenix College.
Graduate assistant then faculty associate in mathematics at Arizona State University. Coordinator of lab and numeration theory classes for elementary education majors; liaison between departments.
