Summary: As a senior Business Process Consultant I move easily between business stakeholders and IT to manage projects and develop solutions that take full advantage of the existing IT capabilities. A strategic thinker with an eye on practical and cost effective solutions to automate business processes and implement practical project plans. History of Projects

2014 - present

The Technology Roadmap Group. Senior consultant, IT strategy, Business Process analysis, Project Management. Strategy consulting and Adjunct Faculty member Salem State University, teach management information systems at the Bertolon School of Business. Taught project management, SDLC models (waterfall, iterative, agile, etc.), data modeling (UML), project proposals ROI, process analysis and requirements analysis (swim lanes, use cases/stories) and UML diagrams.

2013 - 2014

Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Senior consultant IT Transformation. Management consulting and Business Process Consultant for HP clients and customers. Server reliability and ITIL support processes used by Sabre, the American Airlines reservation system.

2012 - 2013

Hartford Life Insurance. Senior consultant - contractor

Business process modeling for Hartford’s financial products.

Business Process Design and Requirements Analysis. Business process design and staffing analysis for five separate insurance, life and annuities product initiates. This included modeling processes for new product sales, cash management, annuity payments, etc. Products included structured settlements, variable and fixed annuities, pension plan takeovers, and others.

New Business Process Models. Developed new business process models for sales, marketing and distribution systems for the company’s initiative to enter the European market with its annuity and investment products. Developed business processes and requirements for: signing up new distributors, sales support, marketing programs, sales tracking and commissions, and territory management.

Developed detailed requirements for CRM system (SalesForce.com) to support entry into European market.

ROI analysis for $3 million investment in Project Portfolio and Tracking System

2007 - 2012

AgilePath Corp (www.Agile-Path.com). Senior IT Business Process Consultant & Strategy Consultant. Project Manager and lead for projects included the following:

Kaiser Permanente Business Process Consultant. Developed a unified SOA strategy and ‘go forward’ roadmap for three divisions. Workshops clarified and identified precise areas targeted for improvement and actionable plans for a program and common vision and action plan.

Military Health Services Business Process Consultant. Business Process Analysis assessment and recommendations. The assessment identified 10 areas for improvement and detailed tracks and strategies for Business Process Improvement with roadmaps and milestones.

GE Healthcare Business Process Consultant, Lead IT Strategist. Governance assessment and developed SOA governance roadmap that detailed policies, processes and federated organization across multiple geographic locations. Workshops on governance, ROI analysis, and detailed project plan for implementing a solid and sustainable governance program.

Staples Business Process Consultant, Lead IT Strategist. Technology and Governance strategy workshops and development. Deliverable laid out Vision, Goals, Objectives; Opportunity Roadmap and Actionable Plan.

US TRANSCOM Business Process Consultant, Lead IT Strategist. US TRANSCOM is one of ten commands of the Department of Defense and is responsible for all major transportation and logistics across all military services. This project developed a SOA governance model and roadmap for its Netcentric initiative. This project developed a governance lifecycle processes that US TRANSCOM could promulgate across the command for consistency on governance.

FAA/Air Traffic Organization (ATO). Business Process Consultant, Lead IT Strategist. Developed governance model and governance road map for the SOA initiative of the National Aerospace System (NAS). This initiative called System Wide Information Management System (SWIM) implements SOA services in the NAS. As lead IT Strategist, led a team responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing an Enterprise Governance Model (organization, process and policies).

FAA/Aviation Safety Organization (AVS).) Business Process Consultant, Lead IT Strategist. Phase One: Developed a SOA governance model and roadmap. Used a maturity model to enable AVS to evolve to from initial SOA services, to architected SOA services. Phase Two: Led a team that evaluated and recommended infrastructure components (repository, registry, and SOA manager) for AVS infrastructure. The team was responsible for analyzing, designing, selecting and recommending the components for AVS’s Service Oriented Architecture implementation. ROI analysis for an $8 million software investment. Developed fully loaded two year project and task plan with deliverables in MS Project to implement the roadmap we recommended.

Partners Healthcare. Business Process Consultant, Lead IT Strategist. Partners Healthcare, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School is a network of 10 hospitals and health care facilities in Massachusetts that includes some of the leading healthcare and research institutions in the country. Developed a governance model and road map that Partners could use to guide its SOA initiative. This included working with the senior executives and stakeholders to develop an SOA adoption plan.

Developed and present 3 day public seminars for senior managers on SOA and Cloud Computing, Big Data and Mobile Development.

Computer Associates (CA). Director of Software Development Managed 30 person multinational product development organization. Responsible for a $40 million (annual revenue) multiplatform code generator (Telon). Budget: $20 million

Other Projects

Responsible for project management to develop and release numerous commercial software products, from concept, business plan, design, development, polished user guides, testing and final on-time release. Budgets ranged from $4 million to $12 million

Document Management. Requirements and design for several large scale document management implementations. Clients included the State Street Bank, Liberty Mutual, Fidelity Investments and American Arthritis Foundation.

Portals. Project Manager, Lead IT Strategist. Led the requirements for the Massachusetts State portal Mass.Gov and collaborative portal for American Chemical Society

Publications:

What People Want in Project Management Software. Published by the Project Management Institute and Japanese PMI. This was a survey of 3,000 PMI members. It was the only paper selected by the Japanese PMI for re-printing in Japan.
