MECHANICAL AND PRODUCT DESIGNER

Veteran Mechanical and Product Designer with Multiple 3D CAD Software Experience, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering and as a Mechanical and Electronic Technician.

SPECIALTIES

MULTIPLE 3D CAD SOFTWARE – MECHANICAL COMPONENT DESIGN – SYSTEMS DESIGN – BILLS OF MATERIAL – R&D, DESIGN & TEST – MANUFACTURING PROCESSES SELECTED CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Designed more than 600 FAA approved and certified components for the Mechanical Flight Control System, ECS/Pressurization System & Main Cabin Door Latch Mechanism. Assisted with interior and seat design, fuselage, wing and empennage structures.

To reduce design time and errors for a Lightweight Aluminum Intermodal Chassis I worked closely with shop workers and suppliers before prototype build began.

To put a lagging Friction Stir Welder project back on schedule I created 3D CAD models from 2D CAD data and created a second friction stir welder and ancillary support equipment from clean sheet.

To restore confidence with the prime contractor and keep a multimillion dollar contract intact, I identified quality gaps that ultimately increased quality and manufacturability for a complex military trailer.
