Security Program Manager

Managed the security and compliance efforts for an organization of over 1,000 contractors. Handled development of audit strategies and implementation as well as the interface with internal and external SOX auditors.

Managed a project to insure compliance with Information Protection Guidelines. Created and managed to strict project plans. Assisted in training and awareness of Information Protection Guidelines. Performed Gap analysis, created templates, remediation plans and status reports. Moved on to work on the IPMG efforts at a divisional level.

Managed a project to secure and archive legacy Pharmacia safety systems. Worked under a strict set of validation principals in a very political environment. Managed to a changing set of requirements and a fluctuating project charter. Worked with management to reduce the overall scope and cost of the project providing a more cost effective solution for the users.

Managed several projects for World Wide Safety. Worked with CIOMS, a regulatory systems used to filter and screen AE data for submission to the FDA and European regulatory agencies. As part of this project managed the client expectations including the HQ clients PCOs and EDS. Developed the requirements definition and managed the prototype development. Proposed a cost-effective solution, which would meet the requirements with minimal expense.

Worked on the department methodology for system development life cycle, including templates, examples and procedures. As part of this project developed a structured procedure for the bid process and vendor selection in both project based work as well as staff supplementation. This method was used in several projects including PfLITE and DocCentral; Projects initiated under this methodology have a lower cost and higher success rate than others.

Worked on the on-line Triage requirement definition, for evaluating and routing cases to the appropriate departments. Worked with user community and development vendor to define a system that would balance their needs and budget.

Managed the Validation and support of a System to manage the creation of SOPs and distribute them electronically. Managed the migration of the rendering solution from Auto Render Pro to Core Dossier Responsible for managing developers, vendor projects and coordinating resources across multiple projects.

Worked through several designs of electronic document storage systems to store, search and retrieve the documents for each project, provide electronic signatures and track workflow for the project. Planned a backup and recovery solution for several 7 X 24 global Documentum systems, which would provide off-site storage and system backup without any down time.

Managed the testing and validation of applications for a department wide harmonization and system/Oracle/Documentum upgrade. Planned a solution, which allowed the three upgrades to be done simultaneously with only a 30-minute downtime minimizing impact on the users. This plan realized a significant savings by reducing the development, support and validation costs.
