University of North Carolina at Charlotte August 2016 – December 2016 Teaching Assistant (Embedded Systems), Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (C, Renesas, TI MSP430)
• Helped the students with their queries and doubts regarding their coursework, graded the assignments and exams. Also, created the solutions for the assignments in Embedded Systems. Tata Motors Limited, Pune (India) June 2014 – July 2014 Intern
• I studied the entire electrical network of the car plant and created a blueprint of the power supply for the plant. My assignment was titled “Electrical Applications and Testing of Electrical Devices”. ACADEMIC PROJECTS
• Simulation of Office Level Network (NS-3): I simulated 3 LANs and 1 wireless LAN using NS-3 simulator with star topology, ran inter-LAN, intra-LAN client server applications and analyzed congestion characteristics.
• Automatic Heat Sensor Alarm for Cars (NesC, MicZ, Mica2): Created a prototype heat sensor using Mica2 Crossbow motes. Used MTS300 sensor board to sense acceleration, temperature, sound along with sounding alarm, sent a text message, email and call to 3 different smartphones using base station.
• Computer Communication and Networks (Python): Worked on socket programming for the server and client side and implemented Distance Vector Routing Protocol for a given network topology.
• Data Communication and Networking (Wireshark): Packet tracing for a particular website using Wireshark. Analyzed all the protocols invoked for that particular communication session. PERSONAL PROJECTS
• DHCP Client Simulator (Python, GNS3, Linux): Created a python script, which takes inputs from the user and automatically allocates required number of IP addresses to the clients.
• SSH / Telnet Network Configuration (Python, GNS3, Linux): Used python script to automatically telnet or ssh to routers and carry out specific configuration commands on the router’s command line interface.
• OSPF Network Discovery via SNMP (Python, GNS3, Linux): Created a python script which telnets to the router and extracts all the OSPF related information from the network topology.
• Network Parameters Extraction (Python, MySQL, GNS3, Linux): Created a python application which extracts important network parameters like hostnames, mac address, vendor name, OS version, CPU utilization, processor memory utilization, UP interfaces and displays the information in tabular format.
