EXPERIENCE
UBS INVESTMENT BANKING
New York, NY
Executive Director, Investment Banking, Energy Team
Covered several midstream and downstream companies alongside several Managing Directors. Prepared pitch books, built models and generated ideas for financing and M&A
Managed numerous teams of people ranging from Analyst to Director, and across product disciplines to deliver financing and advisory solutions for clients
Executed several successful capital market transactions such as follow-on equity offerings, debt offerings, revolving credit facilities, asset-backed-lending facilities, block trades and At-The-Market offerings
Led the successful IPO of Westlake Chemical Partners (“WLKP”) as joint active bookrunner and structuring agent. WLKP was the first Chemical MLP and required the team to message its story to MLP investors who had not invested in petrochemicals companies and chemicals investors who had not invested in MLPs
Advised Westlake Chemicals on its first asset dropdown post-IPO into WLKP
Advised Energy Transfer Equity (“ETE”) on its subsequently terminated acquisition of The Williams Companies (“WMB”). Conducted diligence on WMB and prepared a report for the ETE Board, built models and analyzed the effects of the merger and underwrote bridge financing for ETE
Prepared marketing materials - CIM, management presentation, rating agency presentation – and handled investor calls for fully underwritten financing of Apollo’s buyout of Express Energy
Selected to be the staffer for the team by senior management. Managed scheduling and progress of around twenty analysts and associates in the team
GOLDMAN SACHS & CO.
New York, NY
Vice President, Investment Banking, Natural Resources Group
2011-2013
Advised PPG on a Reverse Morris Trust spin/split-merge transaction with Georgia Gulf. Prepared books and helped management and the Board message the merits of the transaction to the investment community. On our advice, PPG delayed the decision to spin versus split closer to the closing and gained an additional $500mm in a $2.1bn transaction
Led negotiations alongside PPG in dissolution of its Transitions JV with Essilor. Accounting differences due to GAAP and IFRS and Essilor being a minority shareholder while being the largest customer for the JV made valuation discussions very difficult
Associate, Investment Banking, TMT Group
2009-2011
Led the successful sell-side process for the sale of Rosetta Marketing, at the time one of the largest independent, digital marketing services companies, to Publicis for $575mm. Answered due diligence requests from the buyer and worked closely with the founder CEO to run several bespoke financial models and draw conclusions
Negotiated recapitalization of a financial sponsor held electronics supplier, which was close to bankruptcy. Handled complex and often delicate negotiations and several asks from different stakeholders – existing and new debt holders and financial sponsors – to secure an acceptable outcome for all parties
Associate, Principal and Mortgage Finance
2007-2009
Executed the $450 million Litton deal in which Goldman bought the mortgage servicer from C-BASS. Built models to value Littons’ servicing platform and its servicing assets of $6.6 billion
