Objective
My objective is to obtain a role where my expertise will be valued. Administrative Assistant
Answer all calls in a professional manner.
Process all cheques, cash deposits and make deposit at bank 1-3 times weekly.
Ordering supplies for the office as needed.
Responsible for all mail incoming and outgoing as well as Courier transactions.
Email/ Fax correspondence regularly for the business agents in the office, when needed.
Large Mail outs to stewards, members etc. which includes printing of document to be mailed, label all, postage and delivery to post office.
Editing of Collective Agreements, revising and reconfiguring PDF files word documents.
Making sure Teamsters Canada/ Labour board are current with all new Collective bargaining Agreements, upon ratification.
Notifications to employers (i.e. off of work notices, notice to bargains, steward notifications etc.).
Taking messages/ Relaying messages to Business agents with time descriptions etc.
Assist Business Agents in email/letter formatting, spelling grammar. Also assist with their monthly expense reports (mostly for new Business agents).
File handling and organization.
Bookkeeper- December 2014- June
Payroll: Ensuring I pay all office staff on time, as well as any lost time wages certain members may be entitled to.
Bill payments, ensuring I pay all bills on receipt.
Process Per Capita Remittances, Health and Welfare/Pension Remittances monthly in a timely manner.
Maintain Transactions through the Enhancement Fund (Savings account).
Process all monies throughout each month and establish Monthly Trustees reports (financial Reports per month) with thorough explanations, definitions and back up to ensure everything is accounted for accurately.
Be involved with Annual Audits making sure everything is accurate, providing the Auditor with all information, required per year to complete accurate audits.
Reconcile Monthly Bank Statements for both our chequing account and the Savings account.
Strong understanding of Excel functions, able to prepare monthly spreadsheets to describe Monthly income and expenses paid out monthly.
Dispatch
Maintain an organized hiring list (Dispatch list), sustaining each member’s seniority on the list by date of entry.
Establish new members on the list, and set them up with an OPG or BRUCE power Security clearance applications, follow up on statuses of clearances and inform members when they are officially cleared.
Maintaining documentation on each hiring list member and their qualifications.
Process Help Requisitions, dispatch according to rules and regulations and send members to work, on a timely manner.
When instructed to, call new people who have sent resumes, get them established. Explain the Hiring List Rules and regulations.
Extra Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience.
Diploma for Basic Accounting – Ashworth College online course completed. January 2017.
QuickBooks/ Intuit Payroll System 2 years’ Experience. Fluent and knowledgeable in the functions of the QuickBooks/ Intuit accounting system.

I am able to complete all tasks, in a timely manner and to meet deadlines. I am able to multi task, and work as a team. When issues arise I am very efficient in problem solving and finding reasonable solutions for different matters as they occur. I am a hard worker and do not like to leave work unless all my responsibilities are complete to the best of my ability.
Prior Experience (Prior to 2012)
Retail Experiences at Urban Behavior, William Ashley Warehouse Sale, Bath and Body Works. At each of the above mention locations, I obtained roles as cashier, Sales Rep.
