Establish connections between the hospitals and area doctors. Through personal visits, correspondences and phone calls, liaisons inform area physicians about the home health services, facilities, staff and events.
Many patients have special needs or medical issues such as heart disease, neurological conditions, kidney disease and cancer. Account Executive oversees home health referral services, which allow doctors to refer their patients to the agency who have the means to care for particular patients in the home. Referring physicians can refer patients by telephone or online. Referring physicians and liaisons may discuss and agree on criteria, such as specific medical conditions, on which a patient is referred to the home health agency.
