SHELBY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, Shelbyville, Kentucky 2008-2009
In August of 2008 became employed at West Middle School as a Special
Education Teacher of Collaboration in the 7th grade. The school offered a
unique peer diversity and student population. Shelby County has one of the
largest diverse population of students in the state of Kentucky. West Middle is
a large middle school with close to 800 students.
CARTER COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, Grayson, Kentucky 2004-2007
Recruited to this large school district in 2004 and transition through a
series of teacher positions. Taught first grade in Olive Hill Elementary for 2
years and the last year serving LBD 4th grade collaborative instructor at
Prichard Elementary. Career highlights include:
LBD 4th Grade Collaborative Teacher (2006-2007)
Special Education Collaborative Teacher for 2- 4th grade classrooms,
at Prichard Elementary School in Grayson Kentucky. Responsible for
Special Education students required Portfolio Writings and State
Assessment. The students completed the year with scoring Proficient
and writing and an Assessment. Develop Open Response and On
Demand writing for core content design.

GATEWAY HEAD START PROGRAM, West Liberty, Kentucky 2002-2003
Job Title Education Coordinator for a 5 county area, supervised 100 plus
Teaching staff. Implemented professional development, training requirements
for state licensing. Developed and wrote Transition Plans for the Head Start
Program and Complied and wrote monthly reports and audits as required by
state and analyze curriculum assessment for 5 county schools. Human Resource
Management Personnel for prospective new hires, review application, set up
Interviews, required background search, and processed new hires.
BATH COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, Owingsville, Kentucky 2001-2002
Taught K-1 classroom at Bethel Elementary in Sharpsburg. Combination
Classroom included low performing Kindergarten and First Grade Students.
Professional training in curriculum design and core content applications for
Primary and elementary students. Served on several committees and chair
them.
LAWRENCE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, Louisa, Kentucky 1986-2001
Taught various grades K-8th, Remedial Reading Instructor, Special Education
Instructor, primary and middle school instructor. Was hired at Blaine Elementary
School for 15 years. Served and chaired many committees, served on Site Based
for 6 years, served on hiring committee of new hires. K-Tip training, and resource
teacher and opened classroom to many training educators filling require classroom
hours of instruction. Director of school fund raisers and art instructor for 9
classrooms.
