Broadly skilled exploration geoscientist with working knowledge of all aspects of exploration including petroleum system analysis, play generation, petrophysics, rock analysis, seismic processing and interpretation, advanced data management and computer skills, wellsite operations, gravity/magnetics and unconventional direct detection exploration techniques. Project and staff management experience. Good communication skills to management and engineering departments. A leading, published explorationist in two major domestic frontiers – Triassic Rift Basins on the east coast and the Cotton Valley Reef Trend of the East Texas Basin. Also known for expertise in the Bossier Sand Trend of the East Texas Basin. In particular, great effort has been put into understanding and using the ElectroMagnetic (EM) spectra for exploration. Recent work included finding major company-reserves. Details with permission. Experience

Consulting Geologist (confidential) October 2013 to January, 2016 Houston, Texas

Influential part of exploration team exploring 4 million acres. Responsible for turning program from a concept driven exploration shop to a highly focused exploration team using Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator Technologies. Expertise provided includes detailed area tools interpretations, vertical DHIT interpretation, gravity modeling and other geological and geophysical consulting. Designed and managed perhaps the largest vertical DHIT oil exploration program ever conceived. It is anticipated this work will find reserves that will attract majors and large independents to prolific conventional reservoirs. In the process, new producing horizons have been discovered as well as new play concepts.

The Woodlands, Texas

VP of Geosciences and partner for Cretaceous focused East Texas Basin horizontal drilling tight oil exploitation project that has raised $100MM of mezzanine-like financing for the project. Responsible for guiding land acquisition into exploitable positions in the Woodbine and Cretaceous carbonates including the Buda, Georgetown, Austin Chalk and Glen Rose formations based on geological analysis. Successfully guided the drilling of the GBR 1H Holiway well that had a 6700’ lateral in the Woodbine ‘C’ sand. Gulf Bend is planning further development of their blocks of acreage.
