TAP (Total Action for Progress) - Roanoke, VA - April 2006 to July 2016 I work with a team of two other staff members, a Human Resources Assistant and an Insurance Coordinator of both I hired at TAP. We serve close to 250 employees. I handle all facets of human resources for the agency such as: recruitment, benefits, personnel policies/procedures, unemployment hearings, open enrollment, grievance/complaints, disciplinary processes, service awards, special events for staff, personnel files, payroll maintenance, and ensures management is current on all/new legal mandates. Responsible for: overseeing development and implementation of human resources functions within CHIP, including recruitment and hiring of staff, review and revision of personnel policies and procedures, personnel manual and implementation of employee benefits. Also provide administrative support to the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Serve as member of the Management Team. Duties include: oversee/conduct staff recruitment (ad placement, set up interviews, conduct interviews, check references, make offers of employment, and conduct orientation process; salary surveys and employee opinion surveys; oversee and conduct employee benefits program, including and obtaining benefit quotes and implementation of benefit enrollments and changes; ensuring personnel manual is up-to-date; oversee supervisory training to ensure consistent application of annual performance reviews. Maintain a system to remind supervisors of due performance reviews and provide all paperwork, statistics, etc. Oversee/conduct annual service awards program. Maintain employee personnel files. Attend, set up and take minutes for monthly board of directors and executive committee meetings and distribute minutes/packets to committee members. Annually, complete new board member letterhead, set up new yearly meeting books, update board and executive committee lists, complete new attendance list for board, and create new committee lists for the year. Quarterly attendance record for board and executive committees.

Prior to being promoted to Director of Human Resources, I was in the position of Executive Assistant from 10/97 to 7/1/02.
