Responsible for complete Commissioning and Handover off 2 Semi sub Floatel vessels being constructed for international use including North Sea / Scandinavian Waters. Vessels are off very high standard and class specification DYNPOS-AUTRO and one of the first DYNPOS-ER, POSMOOR-VATA.

Husky Oil China Ltd (Liwan Gas Project) 2012-03 – 2014-01

Lead E&I Engineer Deep Water (Shenzhen and Qingdao China)

Owner Rep, Overseeing and assisting deep water scope contractors to ensure smooth and proper commissioning and handover in line with the project plan. 33,000 Ton Platform (Largest in Asia) with MEG Package with Topside interfaces and Subsea controls for a large field.

Produced a commissioning strategy then reviewed and assigned commissioning activities to the respective responsible parties, subcontractors were responsible for their component but many gaps existed. Closure of these gaps led to a smother completion and early First Gas.

Developed CMS system and assisted inexperienced contractors with commissioning procedures and associated paperwork.

Attended Offshore Commissioning and final Hookup.

Tasked with advising the client and preparing Electrical Operating Procedures for 2 new build Semisubmersible platforms. powered by Medium Voltage generation. This work involved complete scrutiny of existing procedures, personnel, visits offshore, HSE etc.

Visited off shore facilities, for information gathering and staff training in safe operation and maintenance of MV generation and associated switchgear.

Multidiscipline role supervising all lead discipline engineers. Offshore commissioning and completions, through to final oil production and offloading.

Design review and Commissioning of Power Generation and 13.8kV & 480v Distribution on the Caratinga and Barracuda FPSO’s for Petrobras Brazil

Played a key role in streamlining commissioning of Caratinga P48 FPSO which was initially behind on delivery by approximately 15 Months. Caratinga sailed away only 1 month behind its sister ship Barracuda.

Directed Commissioning of essential systems to begin before all supporting subsystems were ready, using overboard pumps for seawater cooling for example.

Complete Commissioning of new Power Station Comprising 2 of 4.5MW Kronsberg Gas Turbines

11kV Switchgear, Feeder transformers and associated distribution equipment.

Robe River Iron – Cape Lambert Western Australia – Commissioning Engineer:

Capacity Upgrade 3 x 45MW oil to gas conversion + New “P9” 33kV Switchboard and distribution equipment

GEC-Alstom Eastern Goldfields, Project Kalgoorlie – Commissioning Engineer:

Commissioning of a 600km 220 kV transmission line. Involved 220kV, 132kV and 33kV switchyard equipment, two 165MVA Transformers, a state of the art Static Var Compensator, Harmonic Filters, GEM80 control and SCADA.

Worsley Alumina Mine & Refinery - Commissioning Engineer:
