Necessary Coding is done in RPG/400 and COBOL/400.Migration of maps for transactions 837 professional, 837 Institutional, 835 Payment/remittance advice, 270/271 for eligibility request and response, 834 for enrollment, 278 for referral certification and authorization 276/277 for Claim status enquiry, and 820 for premium payment. Both inbound and outbound transactions were taken up for migration.

This project involves EDI Production support, migration and maintenance of all HIPAA transactions which are developed for more than 30 customers at DST systems. Clients submit various types of files to the system and the system will take care of all EDI operations .The formats of files can be flat files and ANSI x12 files. Productions issues that may arise during processing will be controlled and alerts in the form of emails will be sent to the client for any data related corrections. The file processing is scheduled as per client needs and automated jobs run in the mentioned schedules. During the process of sending claims or receiving claims with the claim transaction 837 for professional, institutional and dental claims there occurs data/segment related issues which cause job to fail. These jobs are taken high priority and will be resolved within 4 hours of duration. For the 835 transaction the job usually fails at balancing at claim and service levels which will be corrected with customer’s advice. The Migration of maps from BizTalk to Sybase is also taken up as a part of this project. To standardize the usage of software among different products migration of all BizTalk maps to ECMAP is taken up.

Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company (PCEC) deals with the sales of various electronic products such as Television, DVD player, Audio Systems, etc. Based on the information we get from the Delta-M, the services are charged to PCEC. In this system, Weekly and Monthly runs are the major programs that process charge back information and generate reports.
Account Broker Charges Application:
The inbound goods are imported from other countries to Panasonic US. These goods are brought in by carriers / vessels and offloaded on the dock. These goods need government permission to be brought in the country. A broker is the person who is responsible for doing this activity. For these goods, he prepares and compiles all the official documents for which he charges Panasonic. These charges include the custom fees, tariffs, harbor fees and broker fees.
