City of Deridder, La - DeRidder, LA - May 2007 to Present In my current position in addition to filling in for the street superintendent I am responsible for the day to day supervising of 15 workers in multiple areas..to include but not limited to mowing grass in several cemeteries and along highways also in several parks. I also have extensive experience using zero turn mowers, string trimmers,push mowers, chainsaws, pole saws, loppers, etc. I also can operate a back hoe, stand up and sit down fork lift. I use a transit to find level and grade for proper flow of drainage water. I also use the transit in the framing and foundation work and many other situations that need level and grade to be found. I am on occasion task with the responsibility of keeping the time book and sick and vacation slips to insure that all personnel get the proper pay and sick and vacation leave is recorded properly. I am often tasked with coming up with solutions to problems on the fly or with out all the details at hand .. also to make decisions with out supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner. I ran a pelican street sweeper for a bout a year then made Forman. I have ran it off and on over the last 10 years...as needed day and night time... highway / residential .I now train and get new sweeper personal ready to assume the responsibility of running the sweeper.
