Matt Byestle, Thank you for taking the time to write a reference for Tasnim Tareque. We're dedicated to matching great candidates with the best jobs, and your endorsement helps us do that.

Here is a copy of the reference that you left, for your records:

Matt Byestle CEO @ Elite Performance Relationship to Tasnim Tareque: Direct supervisor

"03/31/2017

To whom it may concern:

My name is Matt Byestle and I have known the Tasnim Tareque for 2 years. He has worked for me as a Team Lead III for Elite Performance, where I am the CEO. In my position, which I have held for 12 years, I supervise a staff of 1700 employees. I am writing to recommend that you consider Tasnim Tareque for your company. In all my years of experience, some people stand out for their great qualities and Tasnim Tareque is one of those people. He is well known for his innovative nature, intelligence, work ethic, positive attitude, teamwork mentality, leadership, diligence, analytical nature, foresight, and production. He is well respected throughout the organization for out of the box solutions and being the "goto" person for a calm/ coachlike demeanor, for getting things done, for meeting short deadlines, for accomplishing any task, and never missing a deadline. He is best known in the office for beating his main competitor in sales monthly: himself. Throughout the time I've known him, he has shown me time and again that he is a positive, motivated leader with amazing potential. During his time here, he played an important role in (project launching a new product line, designing the web site, gaining accolades from the customer service department, invigorating the volunteer program, and grossing $100k in revenue in one year. In fact, he was so effective in this organization that he was on the compact list (Top 2% of company production). His greatest accomplishment however, was being offered his own branch in Dallas, Texas generating over a $1,000,000 in revenue a year, which he turned down He said it wasn’t fair to his family and his fiancé’s aspirations. Now that is a man on integrity. I just wish I could make 10 of him and have him lead all my teams. Whatever industry or role he chooses, I can guarantee one thing: He will be the best at whatever role he plays, no questions asked. I'd be willing to wager my house on it.

In summation, due to his great attitude, dedication and excellent potential, I would heartily recommend that you accept Tasnim Tareque for any position in your company. I am sure that he would not let you down and would be as great an asset to your team as he had been to mine. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance. I can be reached at 703-***-****.

Sincerely, Matt Byestle, CEO Elite Performance"

Letter Of Recommendation: Derrick Ertman

To Whom It May Concern:

It’s my pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for Tasnim or Taz as many endearingly refer to him, as he seeks employment in the financial industry. As Taz’s sole direct manager at (Name redacted due to legal reasons, I’ve worked closely with him over the past three years, sharing the same open office space the majority of the time. Taz showed excellent communication skills and consistently exceeded company quotas. On a personal level, he’s charismatic and well-spoken, both qualities that have served him well in his role as software sales professional. To be honest, he should’ve been my manager. Financially, I contributed, but I’ve never seem someone look at a complex problem and simplify it where a third grader could understand it. Taz taught himself how to code when he was 12 years old! It was like watching Michael Angelo work when he was in the zone. He taught me most of my cloud skills, and coding. BUT, the most important skill he taught was sales. I’m 15 years his senior and his business acumen and poise under pressure is unparoled. I would never tell him this personally, because that’s just the way he is, he was the reason I got my job at google. There’s something about this kid, I can’t explain. When he talks, people listen. I sold my company 10 years later for a six figure deal. I offered him a share, and like Taz, he refused to take a penny. WHO does that? He thanked me for the opportunity to work for me and earning a friend for life.

When Taz left our company, it was such a sad day to see such a valuable employee go, but our loss is truly another’s gain. Allow me to point out three examples of Taz’s strengths.

First, Taz brought great value to our company by consistently exceeding quotas and selling in the top 15% of his peers. Taz has an understanding of market trends and instincts for identifying and pursuing qualified leads. Not only does he provide stellar service to existing clients, but he’s established a number of new business-to-business and business-to-customer accounts during his time at with us. Last fall, for instance, he added (name redacted for legal reasons) to our client list, a huge acquisition, and has been working closely with its IT department ever since. Taz has the combination of business acumen and communication skills that makes him an outstanding salesperson.

Second, Taz has a very strong grasp of technology. He knew our software inside and out and would help relay technical information to customers in an accessible way. He explains our products clearly to customers and makes the most of technological avenues to gain new leads and customize his sales pitch to clients. During an early review, I observed him discuss in detail with a prospective client the specific ways that our software could boost the sales of her online bakery. By monitoring clients’ presence across our website and blog, he provides each one with personalized service to meet his/her needs. Taz makes the most of technology to find new prospects, provide modern solutions, and drive results.

Finally, Taz has proven himself to be a strong cultural legacy here. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to his teammates and contributed during brainstorming sessions and meetings between the sales and marketing teams. Last month, Taz co-led an enlightening meeting on content marketing and account management. Outside of official events, Taz also takes turns leading weekly gym sessions at our in-house gym. Taz was an active member of the team and supports his colleagues professionally and personally (not to mention athletically!).

In closing, I’d like to restate my strong support for Taz’s application to any endeavors he wishes to pursue. I’m confident that he will surpass your expectations in this new role. Taz is driven, self-confident, proactively helpful, and smart, and I know he will continue to find success in sales. I can honestly say, Taz built the company and no one would have ever bought the company had he not laid the brick and mortar. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Derrick Ertman
