MEDASSESTS, Inc. (VIZIENT) 2010 – 2015

Vice President and Leader of Quality, Reliability, Safety Patient Experience Solutions Consulting

Led the Quality, Reliability, Safety, and Lean Six Sigma consulting unit. Clients included major academic medical centers and Europe’s largest private hospital. In collaboration with the team, generated higher reliability and savings in the first week in Value-Based Purchasing, readmissions, and hospital-acquired conditions. THE JOINT COMMISSION AND CENTER FOR TRANSFORMING HEALTHCARE 2008 – 2010

Led the strategy, development, and execution of The Joint Commission (TJC) Center for Transforming Healthcare team and collaborations with leading healthcare organizations reducing HAIs via hand hygiene compliance, and transitions in care. Taught and led a team of Black Belts in the Center and TJC for Dr. Mark Chassin, and wrote the Lean Six Sigma for his Robust Process Improvement. Collaborated with an OB-GYN physician at a three hospital system that has now achieved zero wrong site surgeries since 2009. Successfully led the content team of Dr. Chassin’s Web-based solution system that is available to 90% of the hospitals in America using the Center’s work with Johns Hopkins, Mount Sinai, Mayo Clinic, Cedars-Sinai, Partners, and Memorial Hermann. Led the strategic planning for the Center and its operations which resulted in 100% on-time solutions for every project launched. Team was recognized for its talent by some of the best Master Black Belts in healthcare.

UNITED AIRLINES, INC. 2007-2008

Managing Director Continuous Improvement

Led its Lean Six Sigma training and strategic planning for United Airline’s major initiatives including Safety, Quality, Customer Experience, and Finance. Coached the CEO, COO and Executive Team in implementation of major initiatives. Successfully led the transformation of United’s Industrial Engineers organization from time study to performance improvement. Led eight Black Belts and mentored all organizational Black Belts, considered a benchmark in aviation.

• Quality, Strategy & Safety: Led teams to reduce crew and passenger in-flight injuries caused by turbulence. This team reduced injuries and financial impact exceeded $1MUSD. Co-led Supplier Quality Assurance project to find root cause of major issues in United’s multi-million-dollar Premium Seat launch. Provided action plans that improved the quality of the technology in its entertainment system and on-time delivery. Developed the Business Excellence Strategic Planning process resulting in key initiatives, implementation plans and training. 30 major projects and over 120 sub-projects and Black Belts.

MOTOROLA, INC. 2004 - 2007

Senior Director of Quality, Supply Chain and Lean Enterprise, Master Black Belt (MBB)

Recruited to Motorola by the Chief Quality Officer to improve quality and integrate with Lean and Motorola’s Six Sigma. The Executive Vice President of the Integrated Supply Chain named my team’s work as the benchmark of excellence and required Motorola to apply worldwide. Led strategic initiatives resulting in billions of savings globally using my Lean Six Sigma process. Wrote quality training capturing the best of the world leaders’ lessons in Business Excellence.

• Reliability and Quality: Led the turnaround in quality and safety of Motorola’s Automotive Business Unit which was on business-hold by BMW, Ford and GM due to poor quality. Deployed teams and implemented the Toyota Production System and best-in-class Six Sigma quality methodology that resulted in GM awarding Motorola its biggest ever OnStar order.

• Revenue and Cost Improvement: Led the Strategic Future State Value Stream Mapping for Motorola’s Supply Chain worldwide helping achieve $1 billion reduction in inventory. Additionally, identified improvements to double inventory turns and cut lead-times in Motorola’s handset and systems supply.

• Finance: CFO, recruited me to lead quality and operational excellence. Improved revenue cycle, reduced cycle time of SEC filing by 30%, reduced waste from Sarbanes Oxley controls saving $3 million and coached the massive integration of Shared Service across Europe into one-site.

SKF, SEALS DIVISION AMERICAS 2001 - 2004
