Title: In-vivo effects of different drugs on whole embryos of Xenopus.
Abstract: N-benzyl p-toulenesulphonamide (BTS) is a drug that disrupts myofibrillogenesis i.e., the process of formation of striated muscle fibers in contractile muscles, in culture. We studied the same effect of BTS in-vivo i.e., on whole embryos & found that it does not effect gross morphology of embryos, but it effects individual cells & disrupts myofibrillogenesis in the same way as it does in culture.
