Executed duties as the primary Material Requirements Planner. Generated purchase orders for all stamped-part raw materials (i.e. flat steel, component parts, shipping containers, etc.). Utilized Plex database software to monitor/forecast inventory status. Verified inventory levels through cycle counting with Plex-enabled hand-held scanners. Requested and vetted quotes for material from suppliers to ensure the leanest acquisition process possible. Helped to ensure punctual material deliveries by coordinating in-coming traffic for the Shipping Dept. Also demonstrated meticulous record-keeping skills along with a noted readiness to take on new challenges. For CY 2015, exceeded the company goal for product flow by achieving a stock turn of 15.

Acting as a behind-the-scenes director for the store’s influx of stock, coordinated/processed all deliveries from numerous vendors at the store’s Receiving Dock. Conducted sales trend analysis and cycle counts on nearly all 3,000+ after-market motorcycle parts. Said information was used to either place requisitions or make requisition recommendations. Most notably, acted as Logistics Material and Services Oversight Administrator for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ “Blues on the Bay” air show of 2007. Helped to negotiate time-critical contracts in support of numerous ‘short-fused,’ high-profile air show preparation requirements. Additionally, volunteered to be Logistics Manager at the Ulchi Focus Lens military exercise in South Korea in 2006.

Supply Officer, USS O’Kane (DDG-77) Pearl Harbor, HI, 2005-2006

Held positions as Head of Supply Department, Food Service Officer, Stock Control Officer (acting), Damage Control Training Team member, and HazMat Coordinator. Led the 35-person Supply Dept. through numerous high-scoring assessments/inspections conducted by Naval entities from outside the command. Orchestrated two successful foreign-shore ambassadorial receptions onboard while deployed to the Indian Ocean and just off of the Horn of Africa in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Assisted the Disbursing Office in achieving the ship’s first 'Outstanding' audit.

Aviation Support Division (ASD) Officer, Naval Air Station Fallon Fallon, NV, 2002-2005

Also multi-tasked as Assistant Transportation Officer, Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) Coordinator, Command Managed Equal Opportunity Manager, and Command Duty Officer. As its head administrator, successfully led a 29-person Aviation Stock Control operation through numerous inspections/audits, all while being 50% undermanned. Dealt with both U.S. Naval and Air Force aircraft on a daily basis. Developed a competency in aviation logistics to include data entry/collection and analysis with logistics management, depot processes, and flight operations. As CFC Coordinator, led the entire command in submitting the largest charitable contribution in its history during fiscal year 2004.

Disbursing/Sales Officer, USS Wadsworth (FFG-9) San Diego, CA, 2000-2002

Held positions as Disbursing Officer, Sales Officer, Helicopter Control Officer, and Damage Control Training Team member. Administrated over the processing of payroll and allowances for 180 crewmembers. This included direct accountability for up to $450,000 in cash in the ship’s safe. Also coordinated the sales of miscellaneous retail items from the ship’s store and vending operations. Generated the largest-ever one-year total profit for the ship’s retail operation, which greatly contributed to the ship’s earning (in the same year) of the Naval Exchange Command (NEXCOM) Ship’s Store Retail and Service Excellence Award. Acted as assistant to the Supply Officer in organizing and executing two successful receptions while deployed to Southeast Asia.
