Responsible for all aspects of home health care services to both Medicare and Private-Pay patients.. Directed a team of approximately fifty employees with over one hundred and seventy five patients. Responsibilities included administration, providing direct care, recruitment of staff, marketing, billing, along with education of patients and staff. Upon acquisition of position, the company had many previous deficiencies with the Department of Health during surveys. Within one month of employment, the deficiencies were resolved. During employment, revenues were turned from negative to positive with final expected revenues for 1996 to be over four million dollars.

Director of Nurses, Advanced Patient Care, Inc.; Beaumont, TX 1993-1995

Responsible for development of new company including administration, accounts payable, and receivable, patient care services, company forms, recruiting, purchasing, billing, education and marketing. Increases patient census from initial two patients up to eighty patients at end of employment with one hundred and twenty one admissions in the last year. With total of six Department of Health Surveys, four deficiencies cited with none being observed on 1995 survey. Increased company revenues from one thousand dollars in initial six months of operation to over three million dollars in the final year of employment.

Team Leader, Ultimate Home Health, Inc.; Nederland, TX 1992-1993

Employed as Wound Care Specialist providing assessments, recommendations, and follow-up care for wounds and ostomies. Floated to various offices to be acting Team Leader or director as needed. In December 1992, promoted to Team Leader supervising care of seventy-five patients with a team of fifteen staff members.

Assistant Director of Patient Services, Beaumont Home Health, Inc.; Beaumont, TX 1990-1992

R.N. Supervisor-Ostomy/Oncology Nurse responsible for patient care administered by both L.V.N. and H.H.A. staff. Provided assessments (both initial and follow-up), in addition to treatment recommendations for wounds of all types. Promoted to Assistant Director of Patient Services in September, 1991. Duties included scheduling, staff supervision, Quality Assurance, writing 485/486 forms, and development of nursing protocols primarily for wound and ostomy care.

Ostomy/Oncology Nurse, Beaumont Medical Surgical Hospital; Beaumont,TX 1986-1990

Originally employed as an I.C.U. charge nurse. In 1986, assumed the duties of the P.C.U. Assistant Manager for a four month period while Assistant Manager was on leave of absence. In April of 1989, reassigned as the Ostomy/Oncology Nurse. Responsible for program development, chemotherapy administration, patient and staff education for ostomy, oncology, wound care, development of oncology, ostomy, wound care protocols, and ostomy/oncology consultations, which included assessments and treatment recommendations. Provided inservice education for hospital staff in field of expertise. Served on the Parenteral/Enteral Committee. Instrumental in development of Parenteral/Enteral Manual. Available hospital wide for “code type” emergencies, providing intravenous access for patients with poor venous status, and accessing port-a-cath devices, in addition to assisting physicians with the insertion of several types of venous access devices.

Telemetry Charge Nurse, St. Elizabeth Hospital; Beaumont, TX 1984-1986

Responsibility for staff assignments, supervision and provision of patient care of twenty-one bed telemetry unit. Basic EKG and code management.
