In 2008, due to reduced funding the Resident Services Administrative Assistant position was eliminated. I was transferred to the position of Administrative Assistant for the Executive Director. Job responsibilities included creating all forms for the Housing Authority, taking minutes of meetings, filing, answering a phone system for over 20 lines, creating, printing and distributing a monthly newsletter for the Housing Authority and a quarterly newsletter for the Housing Voucher Program.

Promoted to Resident Services Administrative Assistant that included nine following staff members. Responsible for receiving reports from Resident Services staff to keep department organized and running smoothly. Involved in programs such as Elderly Assistance, Promoting Safe and Stable Families, Nurturing Georgia's Families, Club Hero, and PRIDE; on planning committees for National Night Out and Red Ribbon Week (drug awareness and prevention activities) each year; responsible for creating the monthly newsletter and received national recognition from HUD for its content and appearance.
