Resume:

August *, ****

Courtyard by Marriott

*** ****** ****** **.

Bettendorf, IA 52722

Dear Human Resources,

Please accept my application and attached resume in consideration for the position of Guest Service Representative that is posted on the web.

I come to you with an extensive background in Sales and Hospitality both of which are substantiated in a broad base of Customer Service. For the most part, that was achieved in either Academia where I introduced a concept and convinced others to conceive the notion that it could be. Once that was achieved, I held their hand and tenderly escorted them across the threshold. Whereas my other background was achieved in the Hospitality Industry where I was required to become very familiar with guests in order to insure their pleasurable stay and to anticipate their likes and dislikes.

Since I have traveled extensively, I have had the pleasure of staying at many Five Star Hotels throughout the US and Canada, and therefore, I am aware of the high standards and expectations that guests have the right to anticipate. I am also aware that there will be questions and situations that may arise which would require a timely touch of excellence in order to ensure customer satisfaction. In doing so lends to the saying, “You can only make a first impression once” and therefore, the warmth of your welcome sets the tone of their stay.

I am available whenever needed and I hope that you will grant me the opportunity of making that “first impression” that would lead me to your door.

Sincerely,

Laura Fitzpatrick
