Architected, designed, built and managed an Integration Test Facility for QA Testing. The test facility included an automated JOB scheduler (CA7), a print spooler (SAR), DataTrak for capturing and storing input transactions and AutoRoute for creating and distributing output media to participant members. The ITF supported three environments for Integration Testing as well as Product Testing. All environments were populated with copies of Production JOBs and override libraries for test JOBs, PROCs and programs.
Was responsible for the design, documentation, implementation and management of the facility, as well as Turnover, Operating and Test policies and procedures. Determined Test Scenarios, Test Quality Assurance methods and conducted over 50 Integration Tests that consisted of 350 JOBs per test and used over 20 days of Production data combined with test transactions.
Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Operating Run Schedules and Error Tracking procedures were developed and installed in phases. The test environments were built to simulate Production operations in a 3-Day Settlement (T+3) world and One Day Settlement for Adjustment (ODS). The test facility was permanently added to the client’s site as a tool for testing changes to Production in a simulated Production environment.
