Lignite Electrical Supervisor

Electrical Supervisor for a power plant in East Texas. Daily go into the plant to look at jobs to make the work instructions and procedures for the Craftsmen and the Contractors. Use Maximo software to make the Work Orders and WST to schedule work. Order parts for each task including getting quotes from vendors, checking warehouse, checking older systems (ProLienium and Viper) for accuracy of parts, and verifying the parts are the correct for each task. Use TURMS and ProjectWise Software to read prints and attach prints to the Work Order. Supervising Union Electricians, and Contractors; also assist Electricians in troubleshooting to complete the task. Filled in for Contract Coordinator in his absence. Be available for call out when needed to help support the operations. Work with other departments (I&C, Management, Operations, and Contractors) to help resolve issues. Attend planning meeting (POD) each morning to set priority. Work with Outage group during times that one of the three units is down for repairs to help plan jobs for the downtime. Assist in downtime with supervising Electrical Crews and make sure task are completed in a timely manner. Martin Lake (Chairman) and Luminant (Member) ARC Flash Committee. Supervise a department of Union Electricians, Induction Heating, Electronics, and Instrumentation Technicians. Manage the electrical department including all contractors, hourly employees, and other company employees. Fill in for five months as manager of the Mechanical crew while company was searching for a new Mechanical Maintenance Manager.
