Workface Construction Planning Manager November 2016 – Present

INEOS Project Gemini – La Port, Texas

The new facility is designed to produce 470 kilotons per annum of bimodal HDPE using Innovene™ S process technology licensed from INEOS Technologies. The new, single-train facility will include new polymerization, pelletization, and railcar load-out facilities, plus upgrades to existing utilities and infrastructure.

Leading a team of talented individuals through the planning process.

Hosting strategic planning sessions with the client and project leaders.

The published piping schedule was pulled to the left by a total of five weeks sooner than anticipated. Reducing the overall projected project cost by as much as 90K MHrs and increasing the clients projected ROI.

A few of the methods used to actualize these gains were, establishment of a progress reporting structure for the project. This in-turn allowed of the capturing of daily piping progress. Implementation and execution of a six week rolling plan to include material availability and anticipated deliveries. All of which ensured that we met the deliverables for the clients expectations of predictability and consistency; with regards to project status and rates.

Workface Construction Planning Manager November 2014 – November 2016

Koch NH3 / Urea Project – Enid Oklahoma

The NH3 / Urea project consist of construction of a 900,000 ton-per-year urea plant with the added capabilities of producing high-purity urea to service the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) market. Efficiency improvements and increased production capacity to meet the added market demand for NH3. In addition to the improvements to the NH3 and added Urea plant the project will incorporate a water treatment facility to reduce the facility’s impact on the city of Enid’s water supply substantially reducing the plants environmental footprint.

Directing the activities of multiple Workface Planning Leads. Supporting the planning, development, tracking and reporting of the Field Installation Work Packages (FIWPs) required to execute the scope of work.

Active member of the Construction Management Team with: Construction Operations, Quality, Field Engineering, Project Controls, Document Control, Procurement, HES, Material Management, and Turnover.

Lead and guide the development of FIWPs with WFP Planners to support the Path of Construction, Construction Work Packages (CWPs) Installation Sequence Plan, and Schedule. Work with engineering to align any mis-alignment in these areas.

Work with the Document Control groups to implement processes that organize and store documents in a manner that supports Workface Planning.

Work with the Project Controls Team to align their data management (Unit rates, milestones, quantities, and schedule) and reporting structure with the application of Workface Planning.

Coordination between the planning team and the Materials department (IPMS) and their data management system to insure procurement, tracking, fabrication, receive and issue materials in a method that supports the WFP process.

Support the development of the level 3 and 4 project schedule with all of the Project Stakeholders.

Working with project Stakeholders to help them define their Workface Planning training requirements.

Guide the development of the project schedule to support the application of Workface Planning, e.g. Align level 3 schedule activities with CWPs and cost codes

Ensure that the construction team adheres to the Construction Management’s procedures for Workface Planning and the expectations.

Initiate quarterly audits of the WFP process.

Support the application of Workface Planning through daily WFP meetings during the construction phase of the project. Then work on removing obstacles to WFP.

Acting as the single point contact for all Project Management Workface Planning issues.

Responsible for planning, developing, issuing, and progress tracking of all FIWPs.

Conducting lessons learned and risk review sessions on Workface Planning throughout the projects life cycle.

Turnaround Project Manager May 2015 – Aug 2015

Koch NH3 / Urea Project – Enid Oklahoma

First of three turnarounds for the Koch Enid Expansion project also known as the A1A turnaround. The project consisted of pulling tubes for the convection box, installing a new ID fan with foundation, installation of two heat exchangers, catalyst replacement, and over 1,600 LF of piping work. The A1A turnaround will allow the Koch Enid project added reliability, sustainability and added production of NH3.

Managing the safety, health and well-being of all assigned employees by assuring compliance with the client's and KBR's safety programs and policies including such things as conducting safety meetings, performing audits, and education of hazards.

Serving as primary spokesperson for KBR in relations with client and subcontractors.

Meeting regularly with client management to fully understand expectations, goals and priorities.

Supervising the activities of subordinates to include staff and other supervisors (i.e., Superintendent, General Foremen and Foremen) to ensure that the projects scope of work performed by employees meets or exceeds the expectations of the client.

Gorgon Project - Barrow Island, Australia

The Gorgon construction project consists of a 15 million ton per annum LNG plant with the capacity to provide 300 terajoules per day supplying the greater Western Australia region and international markets with liquefied natural gas.

Coordination between Bentley implementation resources, users, planners, supervisors, the Project Manager, and the ConstructSim administrators.

Responsible for establishing workface planning standards, procedures and adoption of WFP best practices.

Project planning oversight for Last Planner/Work Face Planning Work Packs.

Help build and maintain work packages, implement status visualizations, perform quality checks on the ConstructSim model, run status updates, and publish information with regards to the Last Planner efforts.

Interface Coordinator between Fabrication, Project Controls (Scheduling & Progress Tracking), and Engineering, Estimating, Site Execution, Logistics and the relative Joint Venture counter parts.

Providing weekly planning and progress updates to our client and respective workforce department heads, integration of IPMS material information into the Last Planner System, establishing progress data collection efforts and standards, verification of project data and overseeing the level five weekly work plans.

gas to liquids (GTL) facility in Escravos, Nigeria. The Escravos GTL facility will provide significant environmental benefits by converting natural gas to produce ultra clean GTL diesel. The plant will have an output of 34,000 barrels per day of GTL diesel, naphtha and liquefied petroleum gas for export. The completion of the Escravos plant will add Nigeria to the list of countries leading the industry in implementation of GTL production facilities

Providing and maintaining AutoCAD drawings for RFI’s, Ad-Hawk construction request for engineering, civil, structural steel, piping and survey departments.

Supporting construction with planning, scheduling and module movements via AutoCAD, Smart Plant Review and KBR4D.

As well as providing operational/technical support and training for seven (7) SPR 3D modeling workstations.

Maintaining red line drawings for P&ID changes (RACI’s) before management of change (MOC) occurs.

Participating in over 30+ projects, modules, and turn around jobs over nine (9) years. Activities to include: Oversight of daily engineering activities, material take off, material tracking, progress tracking and reporting, as well as request for information (RFI) issuing and closeout.

Primary duties as a Draftsman were as followed:

Detailing piping spools from isometrics (ISO's) and General Arrangement (GA) drawings for shop fabrication in accordance with plans, procedures and specifications of the client.

Document control activities tracking, receiving, and logging isometric changes. Bulk piping specifications consisted of B31.1, B31.3, Section 1 and Section 8 piping.
