Collaborated extensively with users to define, focus, and clarify requirements for software development.

Resolved a significant problem where IT issues were causing the glass processing system to fail resulting in the manufacturing plant being less productive and experiencing an increase in lead times. Found that the root cause was the way the IT support system was deployed on the production floor. Made necessary corrections and the glass processing system experienced no “down time” caused by an IT issue.

Developed a way for SQL to work from a software program to print different remake labels on the production floor. The foundation was developed by the vendor, but we had to make it work in the various programs. Designed a program that printed the information from a combination of Microsoft Access databases and files from within the program.

Created a system designed to create the purchase orders from the production system automatically while making the PO ready to be sent to the vendor in various formats, and to update the PO as sent to the vendor. This increased accuracy and also allowed orders to be put into production sooner than would otherwise have been possible.

Designed and Implemented new procedures that for the purpose of reducing paperwork generated by different plant locations. Created a script for each plant to produce the paperwork in a specific order. This new script saved the production control staff in each plant approximately 4 hours of work per day, increasing operational efficiency and generating greater revenue.
