Directly responsible for the coordination and execution of a plan to consolidate manufacturing facilities, bringing together five separate companies and increase utilization and profitability within the Fabrication segment of the company’s business.

• In two years turned around a 3% loss in U.S. Production Div. to a 11% profit.
• Restructured Production Div., reducing overhead while increasing efficiency and output.
• Successfully managed all of the company’s fabrication activity to Schulenburg, Texas resulting in a 27% reduction in cost of goods and a 10% increase in utilization and efficiency.
• Instrumental in improving the company’s on time shipments from 82% in 2002 to 94% in 2004.
• Implemented a Product Line approach to the production activity, segmenting Engineered Product from Standard Product, resulting in 10% reduction in labor hours for Standard Product.
• Improved the company’s safety performance, taking the TRIR from 3.65 in 2003
(based on 610,000 man hours) to l.39 in 2004 (based on 835,000 man hours).
• All above achievements resulted from hard work and implementing Lean Manufacturing Methods, mentoring and empowering employees to achieve continuous improvements.

This resulted in the company’s ability to reduce its production asset base, and led to an increase in labor force utilization from 65% to 87%. This increase in utilization and absorption of overhead resulted in a 7% increase in net profit.
• Improved the company’s safety performance over six year period, reducing it’s TRIR from 4.56 to l.89.
• Responsible for the recruiting, training and mentoring of the company’s current Operations Management Team.
• Increased sales and customer satisfaction with improved quality and on time deliveries.
