Personal Profile

I am a newly graduate holding a Honours Degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of Portsmouth. Willing to be challenged and have developed problem-solving and critical thinking abilities at university. Convinced that qualified contribution to the oil and gas industry is attainable with these and other new, international set of skills. Will like to bring new ideas and resources to develop this specific field of expertise.

University of Portsmouth

Petroleum Engineering (Hons) BEng

September 2014 - June 2017

The course focuses on giving a broad view and knowledge of all the steps involved in resource explorations. It teaches lots of different drilling methods in order to find oil, and gas. It focuses on all aspects drilling, formation evaluation, well completion, and production techniques. In the subject area of drilling, the focus goes to many things such as types of rigs, rotary drilling, well control, drilling procedure, directional drilling, and drilling problems. It teaches the ability to look at all the aspects towards finding, and producing the crude resources.

Course built development abilities:

• Individual Final Project covering Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) in High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT) Wells. Involves simulating managed pressure drilling in order to stop influxes and kicks from occurring in the wellbore annulus while keeping the pressure constant throughout the wellbore.

• Software: Solving software problems, significantly with reservoir behavior simulators Petrel, Schlumberger Eclipse, Computer Modelling Group (CMG) and Interactive Petro-physics (IP), and well-testing simulator Kappa, HYSYS V7.3 Design Program, and Microsoft Programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.

• Calculus, Numerical Methods: Questions relying on numerical methods, problem solving and creativity. Required outside the box thinking to solve field problems.

• Group projects, working in a group of 5-10 students helped develop team leadership and management skills on projects such as the Purdhoe Bay Field Exploration and Production project.

• Reading and Analysing Geological maps, finding Folds, Faults, Anticlines, Synclines, and Calculating Vertical Depth.

• Using different tools and methods to research different topics and ideas.

• Self-dependent problem solving skills, time management and setting deadlines on online tests and coursework such as mathematical principles math-lab examinations.

• Give strong and persuasive points in presentations by having supporting facts.

• Usage of HYSYS V7.3 Design Program, Computer Modelling Group (CMG), and Microsoft Programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 1999-2013 The American International School in Egypt

• American Diploma graduate with Overall Grade Point Average of 2.8

• Classes taken related: Chemistry, Physics, and Pre-Calculus. Relevant Experience:

ENPPI Summer Internship’15: Intern as a Process Engineer September ’14 – Present: Member of SPE (The Society of Petroleum Engineers) 2015/2016: Media Director of SPE Portsmouth Chapter
