Company’s 2nd in command. Leads and directly reports to the CEO/President on all company operational, human resource and business development matters.

Assumes day-to-day company operating and P&L responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of managers (Program/Project, IT, Business Development, Finance etc.) supporting Federal Agencies and Industry customers to include EPA, FDIC, U.S. Census Bureau, FINRA, and Hughes Networks/EchoStar

11/2014 - 2/2017, The Columbia Group, Director of Operations, Navy Programs Division

Developed, Managed, and executed Division’s annual budget.

Responsible for the operational, financial performance (P&L) and budget control all Division projects supporting the U.S. Navy organizations of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval History and Heritage Command (NHHC), and Military Sealift Command (MSC).

oConducted monthly, quarterly and year-end financial and operations readiness reviews of all accounts. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of budget/financial information submitted to the stakeholder/customer is correct and provide quality customer support.

Principal advisor to the Comptroller/Commander on matters relating to organizational culture, knowledge and skill development, conflict management, and organizational structure for 50 service and civilian members assigned. Directed operations of National Capitol Region (NCR) Financial Service Centers/call at both Bolling AFB HQ and the Pentagon locations for all NCR and Attaché Air Force Personnel world-wide.

Responsible for all operational and HR actions requiring review or coordination by the Comptroller/Commander.

Provided oversight to the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process including the Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Budget Estimate Submission, and the Program/ Budget Review

Served as an advisor on issues concerning the welfare and development of 14,600 DoD personnel at 88 locations globally. Provided direct vital war fighter support to ten Combatant Commands in the Global War on Terrorism.

08/2005 - 10/2007, United States Air Force Honor Guard, Bolling Air Force Base, Director of Operations

Directed organizations operations, training, administration, and ceremonial scheduling for all Joint, Presidential, Air Force Chief of Staff, and Arlington National Cemetery funeral ceremonies. Led a staff of 180 responsible for all Air Force and Joint Service ceremonies in the National Capital Region. Collaborated with interagency organizations and services to develop the State Funeral Plan for future Presidential funerals. Managed 1,500 missions/year that ranged from Air Force funerals to Joint Service ceremonies honoring the President of the United States, DOD, Air Force, and foreign leaders.

08/2004 - 08/2005, United States Air Force Honor Guard, Bolling Air Force Base, Formal Training Program Manager

Managed the technical training schoolhouse with a staff of ten instructors responsible for the training of 700 Air Force Honor Guard candidates. Developed and implemented Mobile Training Team Program to ensure standardization of 600 Air Force active duty, reserve, and Air National Guard base honor guard members nationally. Developed, implemented, and evaluated curriculum for the technical training course and base honor guard programs. As lead recruiter for the United Stated Air Force Honor Guard, devised and executed a plan to counter an 80 percent reduction in the Air Force recruiting pool.

12/2002 - 08/2004, 436TH Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Dover Air Force Base, Production Chief

Managed overall maintenance scheduling, production and launch efforts for 35 assigned C-5 aircraft valued at $6.5 billion. Directed maintenance flow by coordinating efforts of 375 military and civilian technicians covering six specialties. Reviewed work methods and procedures to ensure quality and quantity of production while applying Risk Management emphasizing HAZMAT awareness and OSHA/EPA compliance. Monitored organizational performance against the strategic plan to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Developed daily/weekly maintenance plans to ensure resources were available to meet requirements. Tracked trends/initiated management actions to correct deficiencies. Shouldered Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Superintendent position while deployed to Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. During this time, supported 7,200 aircraft moving 51K tons of cargo, 108K passengers, and 2,800 wounded; 99.3% launched on-time. Developed a BIAP post-attack plan which was validated 23 times; ensured 100% troop accountability.

05/1999 - 12/2002, 436TH Aircraft Maintenance Group, Dover Air Force Base, Quality Assurance Inspector, Shift Chief

Directed eight aircraft inspectors to complete assigned evaluations of aircraft maintenance activities. Hand-picked by Logistics Group Commander to lead recovery effort and investigation of a C-5 aircraft with damaged landing gear in Kyrgyzstan. Served as Aircraft Weight and Balance Program Manager for all 36 aircraft assigned to Dover Air Force Base.

05/1993 - 05/1999, 373RD Training Squadron, Detachment 3, Dover Air Force Base, Aircraft Advanced Systems Master Instructor, Assistant Flight Chief

Air Forces Lead C-5 Advanced Systems Instructor. Conducted formal training courses for active duty, reserve, and civilian students world-wide. Trained students on aircraft maintenance, rigging, troubleshooting, and inspection of the C-5 aircraft. Supervised students in the classroom on task-oriented training applying Operational Risk Management. Aircraft systems subject-matter expert to Flight Safety International to ensure accurate performance of all C-5 virtual flight simulators. Developed course curriculum/course revisions using Instructional Systems Design methodologies. Delivered more than 6,000 career hours earning four consecutive Instructional Achievement Awards (over 1,100 hours taught in 12-month period) and Master Instructor rating.

02/1987 - 05/1993, 436TH Equipment Maintenance Squadron, Dover Air Force Base,

Aircraft Repair and Reclamation Lead Technician

Led a 3-person team to troubleshoot, remove and replace, adjust, align, rig, and calibrate C-5 aircraft systems. Conducted ground handling, servicing, refueling of multiple aircraft types. Certified jacking supervisor. Experience with sheet metal fabrications. Ensured compliance with AFOSH, OSHA, and EPA regulations and proper HAZMAT handling and personnel safety. Deployed in support of Operation DESERT SHIELD/DESERT STORM, given authority to be certifying official to clear discrepancies that rendered aircraft not airworthy, a tremendous responsibility normally given to those with a much higher rank and skill-level.
