Various locations
December 2003 to Present

Accounting Associate
Susser Holdings/Susser Petroleum/Susser Energy Services
San Angelo, TX
September 2013 to March 2015
I was originally hired as an accounts payable associate during the Gainesville Fuel acquisition, but processing the incoming invoices turned out to be a lot less time-consuming than anticipated. During my time with the company, I acquired many new tasks such as processing the daily AR deposits and researching customer transactions, keying propane sales, generating paper invoices to be mailed to the customer, generating electronic invoices using third party billing services such as ADP and Oildex, verifying EFT transactions and verifying payments to vendors.
Store Manager
Dollar General Corporation
San Angelo, TX
July 2012 to October 2012
I was tasked with opening and closing the store on time each day, ensuring the store was appropriately staffed at any given time, preparing deposits, reviewing DVR footage, counseling employees when there was an issue, preparing schedules, receiving deliveries, overseeing and assisting with stocking freight, and resolving customer complaints. My store was not yet ready for me, so I spent my time covering for management in their stores while they were on vacation or ill.
Maintenance Dispatcher/Information Technology Helpdesk Technician
Susser Holdings/Applied Petroleum Technologies/Stripes Convenience Stores
Corpus Christi, TX
January 2009 to April 2012
When I returned to Susser Holdings, I started as a dispatcher in the maintenance department, where I troubleshot common maintenance issues over the phone with store personnel, attempted to walk them through fixing simple issues, created work orders and dispatched field technicians for more complex issues, contacted third party vendors as needed, entered case notes into our database for future reference, and keyed accounting information to track technicians’ time and inventory used on a particular job.
In February 2011, I received Tier One Ruby Helpdesk Certification through VeriFone and I was promoted to Information Technology Helpdesk Technician in June 2011. As a member of the Helpdesk team, I troubleshot I.T. issues over the phone and researched complex issues to find solutions. I attempted to walk employees through correcting basic issues over the phone, remotely connected to equipment to work on more complex issues (such as corrupted files, hardware and software conflicts, missing drivers, uninstalled hardware, etc.), created work orders and dispatched field technicians for on-site repairs when needed, I contacted third party vendors when necessary, repaired damaged equipment sent in by the stores, shipped replacement equipment out to the stores, set up network permissions, and entered case notes into the database for future reference.
Assistant Manager
Snappy Foods
Corpus Christi, TX
August 2008-January 2009
I supported the day and evening managers by helping with paperwork, preparing deposits, scheduling, covering shifts on short notice when associates called in sick, and ordering product.
Cashier/Stocker
Dollar Tree
Corpus Christi, TX
May 2008 to August 2008
I greeted customers, rang up sales on the cash register, accepted payment and made change, cleaned the store and stocked product as it came in.
Caregiver/Farmhand
The Scott Ranch
Marlow, OK
March 2003 to April 2008
As a caregiver, I prepared meals and cleaned the house, ran errands, administered medications and cared for the family pets as needed. I also took care of the family farm while my mother was ill. I maintained the vegetable gardens and orchard, as well as the horses. My responsibilities consisted largely of planting crops, feeding and watering the plants, applying pesticides, harvesting ripe fruits and vegetables and preparing them for sale, cleaning out the stalls in the barn, feeding and watering the horses, grooming and bathing the horses.
Food Service Worker/Sales Associate/Assistant Manager
Susser Holdings/Circle K Stores
Lawton, OK
August 2001 to May 2003
I started as a food service worker and my responsibilities were to prepare food items, package them for delivery to the various stores in the area, and clean the food preparation areas.
In February 2002, I transferred to one of the stores as a sales associate, and my responsibilities were to greet customers as they came through the door, ring up sales on the cash register, collect payment and make change, answer the phone, clean the store and the surrounding lot, front and face the product, stock the shelves, and to print money orders.
In February of 2003, my store manager began training me for the assistant manager position. In addition to my sales associate responsibilities, I assisted the manager with inventory, ordering merchandise, preparing schedules, completing paperwork, verifying and preparing deposits, printing paychecks, counseling employees when the manager was unavailable, and covering shifts when employees called in sick.
