Work Experience Summary:

During the course of my career, with two years of college in the materials engineering & metals mechanical testing field, two years college in the welding science and metallurgy, one year college technical Non-destructive testing NDT processes PT,MT,UT,RT, including quality control inspection of pressure equipment, process piping, welding processes, materials corrosion & materials failure analysis. I have performed the following duties; QA/QC supervisor, AWS-CWI D1.1 & D1.5 Welding on structural steel & bridges, API refinery pressure vessels & process piping, pipelines & shop and field fabrication of above ground refinery tanks. Performed API 510 - API 570 - API 653 - and Pipeline liquid and Gas inspection for the Oil & Gas industry refinery turnaround and NACE sand blast & coating inspection also hands on welding fabrication of piping, structural steel, and pressure equipment from 1980 to 1988. Including refinery complex gas plant run & maintain for seven years, corrosion surveillance projects, and new projects construction and of pressure equipment installation client representative third party surveillance inspection, unit shutdown & turnarounds. Work as independent contractor for multiple companies as shop and field vendor surveillance inspector.

Seven years as full time employ for Hovensa Refinery as plant inspector run & maintain over twelve light gas units including the FCC unit in the US Virgin Islands from 1999 to 2007, also spent one year of corrosion survey inspection supervisor at the same plant over a crew on pre-turnaround preparation of multiple process gas units at the FCC complex.

Provide QA/QC mechanical & welding inspection supervision services to the petrochemical industry for the process equipment & process piping.

Perform inspection of the following components but not limited to; shop piping, structural steel, pressure vessel fabrication, valves, machined components, rotating equipment, compressors, shafts, motor bored cylinders, structural steel welding, machine shop welding, lube oil skids, sub-sea modules fabrication according to engineering approved drawings, carbon steel & stainless steel pipe welding fabrication, pumps, shop dimensional inspection of equipment fabrication. Performed visual evaluation of mechanical & corrosion damage on static and rotating equipment, reporting to the engineering department for preparation of mechanical and corrosion repairs.

Performed several QA/QC duties over new fabrications of Pressure equipment per ASME sec VIII, Sec- IX Sec V code, Piping fabrication per ASME B-31.1 & 31.3, also above ground tank per API 650 construction and erection inspection & Structural Steel fabrication per AWS D1.1 & D1.5

Performed visual and dimensional inspection of shop & field pipe fabrication. Performed pipe mill fabrication automated pressure testing surveillance.
