ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Redesigned the EDM machine head to take a sapphire guide in order to improve holes position accuracy. 70k a year saving

Designed a frictionless air bearing system to replace the ball bearings of the Ultrasonic machine head. 90k a year saving.

Designed removable, lockable plastic covers for the UIG Titanium tools to prevent front face damage during transportation that cost $131 and save a $20,000 tool.

Designed a pin guide plate assembly to guide hundreds of S.S. tool pins during ultrasonic machining which cut the machining time to one fourth and reduced scrap parts-Patent pending. 180k a year saving.

Designed an adjustable safety grinding apparatus to grind different diameter and thickness circular silicon wafers which prevented repetitive wrist strain injuries, saved time and about $80k/year-Patent pending.

Designed a variable speed drum tumbling apparatus to mix different size abrasives drums.

Designed a heavy duty lifting and moving cart to lift heavy ingots from the wire saw to the EDM machine using a special made guided fixture to locate the part in the same position every time. This design made a very difficult and time-consuming job look so easy and resulted in $400k/year saving.

Reduced downtime on Pasteurizer conveyor and cut down on bottle waste by installing a higher rated gearbox, which saved $130k/year.

Replaced drop packers electric vibrators with more reliable pneumatic vibrators that cost 1/3 of the price. Saved $14k/year.

Replaced a Proximity Switch that cost $1100 with one that does the same function for $300 on every bottle and can line.

Redesigned drive coupling on Rinser-infeed worm to reduce bottle breakage. 80k/year saving.

Redesigned packers compressed air manifold and replaced overhead roller conveyor with a more reliable Rexnord Mat top conveyor.

Designed a new label detection system eyes to reduce # of rejects.
