Managed carrier relationships with LTL and truckload carriers, maintaining a focus on customer service.

Worked with an SAP Operating System for transportation and dispatch.

Supported transition of transportation programs to Cargill Transportation and Logistics.

Coordinated the transition of company sales staff to Runzheimer Vehicle Management, and the sale and disposal of all company sales vehicles.

Oversaw the company’s lift truck program; obtained proposals for new equipment and disposal of the old equipment.

Developed and managed the Transportation and Logistics Department.

Managed the North American Logistics and Tomkins National Contract Programs.

Provided corporate oversight for a fleet of 250 over-the-road commercial vehicles with an overall dollar responsibility of $30 million.

Produced annual contract cost savings in excess of $9 million per year through skilled development and implementation of contracts totaling more than $138 million for North American traffic and transportation.

Oversight of the corporate third-party freight bill audit and payment service. More than 880,000 freight invoices annually with a total spend exceeding $138 million.
