Senior Benefits Administrator – Retirement and Employee Stock Purchase Plans [2013-Present]
Responsible for initiating and maintaining processes needed to support the administration of 401(k) and Executive Deferred Compensation plans, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) including keeping abreast of new compliance rules and enhancements
Work independently with third party vendors responsible for participant account maintenance to ensure that plans are administered within the limits of application regulations and that all filing and annual compliance testing requirements are met
Participate in the plan design discussion and recommendations, and analyze the related cost and impact on administration and communications. Responsible for implementing data requirement, interface and operational modifications needed to accommodate approved changes
Responsible for the comprehensive understanding of data components within the Automatic Data Processing (ADP) Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and the respective vendors’ systems, as well as the understanding of the data transfer process between Airgas and third party vendors
Responsible for developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of the reporting tools within the HRIS and the reporting tools of each vendor including data audits to ensure data is accurate and consistent
Coordinate all activity with our vendors related to day-to-day administration and integration for acquired employee groups
Support the integration of newly acquired employee groups into the existing plans. Complete activity required to transfer funds between employer plans, manage outstanding loans transitions, and terminate plans after transfers were completed
Oversee the administrative phases of the Executive Deferred Compensation plan annual open enrollment activities and weekly reporting. Engage in the development of enrollment communications
Complete all reporting as needed including funding information to the Treasury and Accounting/Finance departments
Responsible for the timely research and response to questions/concerns raised by divisional HR and payroll departments about plan provisions, operations, and data issues
Conduct New Hire benefits onboarding
Benefits Coordinator – Health and Welfare Benefits [2006-2013]
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the design and administration of the health and welfare plans including Flexible Spending Accounts
Coordinate all administrative activity including but not limited to defining data requirements and ensuring the accurate transfer of data from the HRIS to the third party vendors
Responsible for day-to-day management of benefit program administration such as resolving issues identified by HR and payroll departments
Complete all weekly and monthly reporting as needed to distribute to divisional HR departments and regional Finance/Accounting departments
Develop and apply data audits weekly to ensure that regional companies are completing the data fields needed for administration of the programs correctly
Manage the administrative aspects of the annual open enrollment activities and coordinated data and interface changes required as part of the annual enrollment process. Heavily involved in the development of enrollment communications and distributions of communications and enrollment materials
Participate in the annual review of the benefit program and recommendations for plan design and operational changes
Resolve employees’ concerns, issues, and questions from divisional HR departments
