Managed the Quality Operations Department, which consists of Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Production Floor Quality Tech Group, and the Production floor Quality Inspectors. This team includes multiple tiers of direct and indirect staffing.

Responsible for reorganizing the Quality Operations Department into an effective team that commonly works together to improve site and customer performance. Quality and Configuration Management Manager

Completely restructured Quality Management System from a simply set of loose processes to a fully functional Quality Department. Restructured processes include but are not limited to Material Review Board, Incoming Inspection, Calibration, and the Final Quality Approval process which included Defense Contract Management Approval (DCMA) requirements.

Lead cross functional Kaizen teams to target key company weaknesses and launch improvement projects to provide significant improvements in each area.

Developed a companywide Unique Device Identification (UDI) labeling process in accordance with military specifications (MIL-STD-129 & MIL-STD-130) which incorporated miniaturized labels, 2D barcoding, and an enhanced label formatting for a more professional appearance. The results of this improvement has reduced approximately 40% of companies labeling time requirements.

Incorporated 5S, Visual Management, and other Lean aspects into a newly developed project tracking system to properly align Quality Department’s work efforts in order to enhance productivity. This has resulted in a substantial increase in performance of the department as a whole.

Developed a QC Testing program which incorporated the Engineering and Quality department to develop approved Test Instructions for all current product lines. These instruction where then incorporated into a departmental training matrix which required cross functional training by all staff. Restructured Engineering Change Notification system using improved visual management tools to provide clear status updates of open ECN’s while enhancing related procedures and work instructions for detailed step by step guidelines on completing the process.
