As a payroll consultant for Extremity Healthcare I was hired to overhaul the current payroll department. I directed all aspects of their payroll operations. Developed payroll processes and procedures. I was able to designate short-term and long-term strategies for continuous stability in payroll operations. I worked closely with the CFO and HR Director to implement a new payroll system and an effective strategy. The anticipated time frame for this project was one year. I was able to complete the project in under 4 months, while processing bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for 325 employees. I was able to save EHI approximately $70,000 in payroll fees (i.e. late processing fees, off cycle fees, under/over paid employees, improper tax filings, etc.) over the next year.

During my time as a payroll manager for ADP TotalSource, I managed a team of 21 employees. Working as a payroll and finance manager at Incentex, I managed a staff of 7 employees. I directly reported to the CFO and CEO. We processed weekly payroll for 210 employees domestically and 11 employees internationally (Canada and China) I was successful in reviewing the payroll process and enforcing new payroll policies and procedures. As a payroll director and staff accountant at NASA, I reported directly to the CFO and managed a staff of 21 employees. My staff and I processed and guaranteed weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to over 20,000 employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws. We ensured the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations were accurate and timely. I personally processed weekly paychecks for Executive staff, audited W-4s, payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc., and produced regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports. After interviewing with NASA, I was offered the position but the start date was over 6 months away. The payroll director at NASA who was retiring called Harris and informed them of my situation. I was then hired by Harris to help in their payroll department until my start date with NASA. I developed a strategy to improve the payroll process. Managed a staff of 5 in the RF payroll division. Our department was responsible for national payroll processing, weekly, biweekly, and monthly, for over 5,000 employees. I personally managed and balanced all weekly financial statements, prepared and paid all monthly and quarterly payroll taxes, maintained national database for direct deposit and tax forms, and prepared, issued and filed all W-2 tax forms for every employee.
