Work
BRC Rubber and Plastics June 25, 2001 to present
I produce product designs using rubber, plastic and metal stampings for front of dash boots, body plugs, grommets, jounce bumpers, deck lid bumpers, stabar bushings and other related automotive products.
I work directly with the automotive engineers and our manufacturing engineers to develop new products and make engineering changes to the parts in production.
Experience
26 years using NX, 12 years using Catia and 10 years using Teamcenter, Currently using Catia V5-6 Release 2016 and Teamcenter version 11 and NX 9.0.
I am able to assign GD&T, material specification and engineering notes to the cad and or drawings.
I have used FEA and tolerance stack software in the past.
Before beginning my engineering career, I worked in tool and die as a machinist on mills, lathes and surface grinders.
April 1996 – February 2001 I was contracted as Columns and Controls department second shift CAD coordinator for Saginaw Steering Gear. I was responsible for training and work distribution for steering columns using Unigraphics. During this time I also ran FEA on Cosmos-M software and tolerance stack softwares.
