Since January 2013, I have actively been completing my continuing education requirements for my ARRT registry, while also actively searching the job market. While searching, I have been engaged in part-time positions such as landscaping, swimming pool opening and closing/repair and packing/preparing household goods for moving. Additionally, I also acted as a personal assistant to Dr. Ana Marie Soto.

U.S.Army Reserves 11/1984-05/2014 Radiology, Chief Technologist While in Kuwait, I served as the Chief Technologist in the Radiology section. Responsible for oversight of six technologist at three sites. Provided instruction in the procedures for developing and conducting training of military radiographic technologists. Monitored the use, requirement, maintenance and management of resources within the country of Kuwait. Was instrumental in the ongoing training, developing, mentoring and improving the skills of at least 4 additional radiologic technologists. Operated fixed, CT (Phillips 2/16 slice and Toshiba 16) slice and portable radiology equipment. Liaisoned between ordering physicians and the Radiologist, ensuring that the proper examination was ordered for the patient. Additional duties included: Unit Safety Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and Unit Environmental Safety NCO. While in Iraq, I served as the Chief Technologist in the Radiology section. Responsible for oversight of nine technologist at 2 sites. Instructed the procedures for developing and conducting training of military radiographic technologists. Veterans Administration Medical Center St. Louis, MO 10/2004-04/2011 CT/Interventional Technologist/ Supervisor 40 hrs/week As an Interventional/CT Technologist, I verified patient to be correct patient using the HIPAA guidelines for two identifiers. Explained procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and increase patient cooperation. Prepared equipment and positioned patients for interventional and biopsy procedures. Managed patient flow through Computed Tomography (CT), Special Procedures and Ultrasound. Consulted with Radiologists for the proper procedural protocol for ordered CT's. Liaisoned between ordering Physicians and staff technologists. Oversaw the whole operation of the Radiology Department in the absence of the Chief Technologist. Recommended the purchase of a Siemens 64 slice scanner, tripling CT output.
