EXPERIENCE
Buffalo Lodge, Grill & RV Park May 2009 – Current
Operations Manager for the Buffalo Lodge. My duties as the operations manager include everyday operations of the motel, grill and bar as well as keeping all the books for the Lodge. I prepare all the financial statements and tax preparations for the accountant as well as the yearly and monthly financial statements and payroll. I manage the staff as well as actively run the company and deal with the daily operations of the company. Cooking, bartending, waitressing, front desk and booking the rooms are all part of my normal duties. I enjoy the customer service and meeting new people every day. I have a lot of repeat customers as I get to know everyone.
Town of Chugwater October 2016 – Current
Assistant to the Chugwater Town Clerk. My duties include helping the Clerk with the monthly payroll and financial statement for the Mayor and Council Members prior to every monthly meeting. I reconcile all the accounts for the clerk each month as well as help her get all the checks ready for the Council to approve prior to the meeting.
Novelution Wind May 2007 – May 2010
Novelution Wind was a wind energy company that started in 2007 in the Chugwater area. Their plans were to build a large wind farm in Platte County, Wyoming. I helped them as their Office Assistant and did research for them for their Impact Study Permit which they were required to get from Platte County. The company did receive their Impact Study Permit as well as all their Wildlife Study Permits. However, they could never reach an agreement with any of the power companies which they needed to complete the project. The company closed in May 2010.
Country Girls Embroidery October 1999 – April 2013
Country Girls Embroidery is a company which my Mother and I started in 1999. I had a small child and wanted to work from home so we formed an embroidery business which allowed us to do that. We purchased three commercial machines and went to trade shows as well as advertised in the local area for business. We copyrighted our own patterns as well as digitized for the customers. The business is still in operation. In April 2013, I sold my share of the business to focus on the Buffalo Lodge.
Chugwater School, Chugwater, Wyoming 2003 – 2007
Substitute teacher for the Chugwater School as well as the Preschool Teacher for the area. I substitute taught and taught preschool while I was also running my embroidery business. I was licensed to fill in as a teacher for grades Kindergarten through High School.
Life & Health Insurance Agent 2000 – 2009
Licensed Life & Health Insurance Agent from 2000 to 2009 through the State of Colorado. I was privately contracted through many Insurance companies to sell Life and Health Insurance. I kept my license current and took classes to qualify each year until I no longer had time to take care of my clients properly once I got too busy with my other jobs.
Premier Employment Solutions March 1996 – February 1998
Premier Employment Solutions is a business that does background checks for employment. My duties at the company involved typing everything from criminal records, worker’s compensation records to previous employment checks while at the same time you were on the phone either making calls or receiving them. I started out in previous employment verification and ended up the manager of criminal records. I worked for the company until my first child was born.
