Aerospace Medical Service Craftsman United States Air Force December 1997 to Present

Led medical group Education & Training office; collaborated with credentials manager to manage the credentials program IAW Air Force Instructions 44-119 Medical Quality Operations, AFMOA, DoD, and TJC guidance/policies.

Corroborated with credentials manager to stablish and maintain provider credential folders (PCF) IAW Air Force, AFMOA, DoD, and TJC guidance. Provided guidance to providers during the initial renewal privileging process.

Conducted necessary research of background data to document their skills to support competency in the requested medical privileges and appropriately credentialed providers within his/her specialty. Verified medical, dental, and allied healthcare professional and paraprofessional credentials documents and information.

Meticulously and independently exercised authority to reject any life support certification and or training certificate for clinical and non-clinical practice to assist the credentials department to determine if any resulting delays warranted the interruption of workflow to perform the missing verification locally.

Managed the paraprofessional peer review process. Tracked completion, monitored for trends, maintained reviews and briefed status as needed to Chief of Medical Staff and to appropriate committee.

Joint forces to track completion of focused and ongoing professional practice evaluations for medical staff appointments/privileging processes.
