As Controller for 15 years, served as part of a national office and process consolidation effort. The Field Financial control organization consolidated from 35 centers and 3 functions down to 6 cross-functional field support organizations responsible for all financial planning, reporting and control.
As controller had responsibility for all financial planning, monthly outlooks, reporting, audit readiness, governance, Sarbanes Oxley compliance for an area that grew to include the western 1/3 of the US and over $1B in revenue. Controller for direct and agent sales organizations and managed up to 34 direct and indirect employees, requiring team direction, coaching, training and coordination skills.
Served as local lead on nationally sanctioned teams chartered to assess and create new field organization and processes to improve end-to-end efficiency and productivity for one of 3 U.S. pilot sites. Revolutionary changes created and enabled a customer-centric culture of high performance, continuous improvement and a commitment to quality. Specific accomplishments included increased sales process productivity, streamlined data collection and reporting, compensation and HR systems integration.
