PMO GOVERNANCE MANAGER
Senior person of 3-person PMO department for Fortune 500 matrix organization responsible for the oversight of the company's 190+ active standard development, infrastructure, and efficiency projects spanning all twelve IT areas, 50+ project managers, 10+ vendors, and $100+ million in budgeted efforts worldwide. Oversight included facilitating meetings, status reviews, reporting, and necessary follow-up's. Administratively cross-trained and proficient in every facet of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) from pre-project business case approval through post-project lessons learned. Provided team support with all phases of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Consistently improved upon existing procedures throughout the PMLC while increasing productivity, efficiency, and revenue for various stakeholders. Examples are:
Utilized all facets of Clarity/CA-PPM tool from 2003 to 2017 including portfolio/program/project management. As part of decentralized PMO for past 6+ years, was responsible for all associated object-oriented and “portlet” reporting including delivery, design, modifications, data verification testing, training, and rollout.
Solely performed health checks on all active projects exceeding $100K budget; Streamlined process to be executed at the appropriate times in a project schedule and to include all necessary agile and waterfall mandates to ensure best practices are done to help a project get delivered on time, under budget, & according to spec.
Designed, analyzed, and directly provided detail and summary reports to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to aid in company's strategic goal planning and assessment. Project metrics included financials, CPI (Cost Performance Index), SPI (Schedule Performance Index), KPI (Key Performance Indicators), portfolio management, SOX compliance, health check status, missing toll gates/baselines, financial adjustments, risk/issue assessments, customer satisfaction, & lessons learned. Non-project metrics included resource utilization and timesheet approval timeliness.
Solely performed monthly SOX audits on all closed projects; Converted this from a semi-annual process which identified training gaps and ultimately resulted in higher compliance figures on internal / external SOX audits.
Instituted the pre-implementation tollgate process to confirm all customer and company PCI & PII data is being handled properly; reviews of APPSCAN results and peer code reviews were performed to avoid security breaches, vulnerabilities, and fraudulent activity of this sensitive data.
Fostered relationship between PMO and IT Finance team to work together and share info; Amended month-end, health check, and reporting processes to quickly identify discrepancies on invoices, capitalization, & timesheets, so all financial issues can be rectified prior to publishing.
