Position: Process Improvement Manger/Process Engineer

Responsibilities: Improving the quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes through the use of Lean Six Sigma, project management and statistical process control tools. Troubleshooting of 7 production processes, 2 batch chemical, 3 roll to roll chemical, 1 roll to roll coating, 1 cut to length. Responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes meet established specifications and establishing corrective action in response to customer complaints.

Accomplishments: Designed, tested, and implemented manufacturing process changes leading to a net positive annual impact of $118,000 through scrap loss recovery. Determined the root cause of the two highest dollar value defects and made manufacturing process changes to eliminate them, saving an estimated $105,000 annually and increasing customer satisfaction. Made changes to PID control system resulting in 94% reduction of out of specification product.
