Temperature and pH Responsive In-situ gel forming Nanodispersions for efficient Ocular delivery of Ibuprofen at Anna University of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (Dec 2011- May 2012).

Objective: To develop in-situ gel forming ophthalmic formulation by preparing stimuli responsive ocular topical nanodispersion consisting of temperature responsive poloxamers and pH responsive CAP (Cellulose Acetate Phthalate) and to characterize the formulated nanoparticles and in-situ gelling system and perform in-vitro studies.

Outcome: The developed temperature and pH responsive in-situ gelling topical nanodispersion would be a better alternative to conventional topical ocular formulations.

M.Tech Project

Academic Project

Tertiary treatment of tannery wastewater using microalgae and production of value-added product from grown algal biomass at Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Adyar ( July 2013- April 2014).

Objective: To identify potential microalgae species (Chlorella sp., Scenedesmus sp., Chlorococcum sp. and Chlamydomonas sp.) which is effective in removal of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) from tannery wastewater and to produce value -added product from grown algal biomass.

Outcome: Chlorella was found to be efficient in nutrient removal from tannery wastewater with carbohydrate content of 214.4 μg/mL, protein content of 126 μg/mL and lipid content of 168 μg/mL.

M/s Dow Chemical International Private Ltd. (Central Engineering Center) Received Monetary reward from Dow IEC in the year 2016 for the timely completion of the Amines LPP 14.1 Compliance project.
