RODERICK PEREZ ALTAMAR, Ph.D.

Geophysical Engineer, Master in Geology, Doctorate in Geophysics, and MBA. Bilingual (English / Spanish) with more than 8 years of experience in the integration of geophysical tools with reservoir engineering and mining for the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons and minerals. Experience leading projects of exploitation and recovery of heavy hydrocarbons in Colombia and mining projects, through the design and implementation of organizational and technology projects through PMI and BPM methodologies. Director of feasibility project for the development of non-conventional reservoirs in Colombia. WORK EXPERIENCE

PACIFIC RUBIALES ENERGY, Bogotá November, 2014 – February, 2017 Seismic Interpretation Specialist

Responsibilities:

To structure and implement strategic plans for the development of exploration and exploitation projects.

Process management, analysis and restructuring in the VP of Exploration.

Manage, monitor and evaluate the results of 2D / 3D seismic data processing and inversion projects in the Llanos and Piedemonte Colombiano.

Integrate the results of seismic data and electrical logs of wells to support the certification of reserves, through the interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic volumes, and generation of attributes.

Analyze and quantify the risk of exploratory prospects, as well as identify and evaluate new opportunities in exploration projects, along with other companies, through farm-outs and data-rooms.

Prepare monthly presentations and reports for the Colombian Geological Survey (SGC), to evaluate the induced seismic activity generated at the company's injection fields.

Use seismic attributes to identify deep faults, possibly related to the crystalline basement, and recommend the location of new injection wells with the objective of reducing the geomechanical impact of injection in the subsoil.

Provide geophysical support specialized in evaluating new opportunities for the regional exploration team for company-wide exploration.

Achievements:

Optimized the budget for the analysis and generation of special geoscience projects (after a reduction of more than 60% due to falling oil prices) but without reducing the quality of the products generated for the area.

Performed interdisciplinary projects through high performance and multidisciplinary team leadership, resulting in increased quality of data used in the characterization of reservoirs.

As a team effort, between 2014 and 2017, we proposed 24 stratigraphic and production wells (during five drilling campaigns) in the Llanos Oriental Basin of Colombia. Of these 13 were drilled and 11 proved to be successful, with an average production of 750 bbl / d of oil equivalent.

I proposed a method of integrating results and knowledge, together with the reservoir department, which resulted in the identification and evaluation of new opportunities for exploration projects, with a success rate of more than 43% between 2014 and 2017.

I was able to reduce the uncertainty of geological risk, when proposing the location of wells, through the use of geophysical techniques of image improvement and geostatistics.

In the geoscience department, we were able to gather the necessary information to certify reserves in marginal fields in the corporation.

I generated a deposition model that combines the intercalation of amalgamated channels and a complex meandering system, which was validated with the drilling of two stratigraphic wells in the Los Llanos Basin.

I recommended a reduction in fluid injection rates that led to a reduction of more than 70% in microseismic activity reported by the local seismic network.

I avoided drilling a high-risk geological prospect, saving the company $ 25,000,000.00. ********************@*****.***
