Mechanical Design Engineer at SunRay Tech-Mech Engineering Pvt. Ltd. 4.14 – 12.15 Responsible for Developing, designing and assisting Senior Design Engineers in design of double girder, single girder, underslung EOT crane systems especially crane systems for automotive engineering companies and performed test driving tasks of respective systems.

• Performed Product Management by reducing product design failure by 8.5% & ensuring conformance with engineering design and performance specifications by specifying direct modification of products and ameliorating existing design using NX Unigraphics and SolidWorks.

• Duties also involved developing a detail EBOM and MBOM of assembly and manufacturing parts of the crane system.

• Maintained records of the computer-generated 3D solid models by defining and communicating engineering tolerance i.e. GD&T, design intent to manufacturing and inspection department.

• Other duties involved Blueprint Reading, checking and correcting the drawings of components of a machine designed in Solidworks before it is delivered for manufacturing.

• Investigated and diagnosed faulty operation of equipment by doing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to confidently recommend solutions to maintenance crew. Analysed the postulated component failures and improved operational efficiency significantly by conducting FMEA at part level. Graduate Teaching Assistant at University of Bridgeport. 8.16 – 5.17

• Conducted experiments from various fields like Mechanics, Electricity, Electrostatics etc. Areas of instruction included mechanical engineering theories that teach students to create, construct, test, and operate all types of mechanical, thermal, and biological devices.

• Assist students for modeling, assembly and drafting in Catia V5 & Solid works.

• Assisted faculty, developing teaching materials, conducting the experiments & grading exams. Manufacturing Process Engineer Trainee at SSKE Engineering Pvt. Ltd. 5.13 – 3.14

• Created production reporting documents, PFMEA’s, process flow diagrams, production reports, Kanban signals etc.

• Managed pre-design discovery, 3D modeling, prototype build, mold construction, quality and test plans, and order fulfillment. Prepare, monitor and maintain project budgets and timelines for client, Maintain and organize project documentation, visit project site to assess project progress and make changes as needed.

• Trained for Quality Assurance & control processes like constant checking of the ground ingredients, application procedures, moisture content and drying conditions, other duties also involved conducting time studies and capacity analysis.

• Designed manufacturing cells to maximize output, minimize WIP and scrap. Solved problems in the shop floor by working closely with production people involved in fabrication, machining, assembly and testing areas. CERTIFICATIONS

Non Destructive Testing (NDT)

Advanced Training Institute, Mumbai.

Completed full time course of Advance training in Non-Destructive Testing, learned about various NDT techniques like DPI, ET, ECT etc. used in Automotive industry, Aerospace industry etc. PROJECTS

Design and Fabrication of Automatic Feeding Mechanism for Pneumatic HacksawMachine.

• The project mainly dealt with designing a feeding mechanism using Solid works and Pro E for Pneumatic Hacksaw Machine.

• Finite element analysis was performed using ANSYS 16.0

• The mechanism was fabricated and was successfully installed in the Lathe workshop of Lokmanya Tilak college of Engineering for students.

Composite Leaf Spring for improved performance in Automobiles.

• The objective of this project was to reduce the weight of leaf spring by designing it using fiber reinforced polymer (E- glass/epoxy).

• This project focused on designing the leaf spring system, performing the finite element analysis, design optimization eventually leading to improved efficiency by mass reduction of spring.

• Designing and Finite element analysis was performed using Solidworks, ANSYS Workbench 16.0. Static Structural Analysis and Fatigue Analysis was carried out to find out the magnitude of stresses, deformation, and Factor of Safety.

• The design successfully achieved 40% mass reduction in composite leaf spring system OTHER KEY PROJECTS: Design of a Fully Automated Mechanical System of Wire Inserting Guide; An Automated Production Layout to Handle Spring Water Bottle and Cap to Assembly Line. MAJOR COURSES
