EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE:

Sept 2013 – present ASST. PROJECT MANAGER, KITCHELL CONTRACTORS, INC.

Assistant Project Manager for the MEP+FP team, and Project BIM Construction Coordinator for UCSD Jacobs Medical Center Bed Tower.

The Bed Tower project is new construction of a $550 mil, 13-story, 509,500 SF, 245-bed hospital.

Managed a total of ten subcontractors valued at $150 mil / $550 mil.

Senior Project Engineer duties included; creating schedules, processing PayApps, writing RFIs, processing submittals, addressing field issues from superintendents & subcontractors, taking progress photos, and taking meeting minutes. Also, acts as the GC’s point of contact with the Design Team to take plans to OSHPD for Over-the-Counter approvals.

BIM Construction Coordinator duties include being the onsite BIM point of contact for clash resolution between trades. Coordinates all on-site meetings at trailer BIM CAVE for model reviews. Acts as the GC’s point of contact with the Design Team for all RFIs generated by the BIM Team. Maintains all meeting minutes for record of the BIM Team’s efforts & meetings. Creates, manages, & enforces GC’s schedule for the model coordination efforts against the overall project schedule. Obtains BIM Sign-off docs from all stake holders. Reviews recently coordinated models with superintendents & subcontractors prior to the field commencing construction in field. Writes changes orders for subcontractors to cover costs associated with their BIM detailer’s efforts. Processes time cards and approves PayApps against detailer’s actual progress / level of effort. Provides training to others on implementing BIM on their projects and serves as a BIM Champion in the company.

Dec 2012 – Jun 2013 PROJECT MANAGER, HAL HAYS CONSTRUCTION, INC.

Project Manager & Design Build Manager for multiple concurrent USACE & NAVFAC construction projects.

Managed multiple projects totaling $16.1 mil., in four separate locations in Southern California.
