Experience working in a Metrology & CMM environment.

Knowledge and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Proficiency in GEOPAK M-COSMOS CMM operate and programming.

Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion.

Programming or scripting experience.

Experience with computer aided programming and operation of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Maintains CMM machines to include probe qualifications, calibration and regular cleaning.

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Chooses cutting tools that will be needed.

Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.

Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.

Read and interpret blueprints to comprehend work orders.

Plan machining activities keeping in mind the work orders and engineering plans.

Refer to specifications, orthographic drawings and reference planes to understand the project effectively.

Work with geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan machining activities.

Check stocks inventory to ensure appropriate stock is available to start a machining project.

Anticipate needed stock and order low supplies.

Enter instructions and program mills and lathes including reference points to ensure smooth running of the machine.

Safely load and unload castings and raw materials into the machinery.
